Giving up in the First Half

Uh, Dorsett was open, wide open. The pass from Brady was mediocre, but it was not a lucky play.

Infact it was skill. Brady saw off that safety with his eyes, something he’s exceptionally good at, and then threw to Dorsett.

Or maybe Brady would have thrown another INT. Or maybe we would have had yet another quick three and out and been 3 down at half time. Why anyone would assume this garbage offense would be able to move the ball even 10 yards with the pass is absolutely absurd to me.

This situation is yet another beautiful Shibboleth that shows how shallow some people think. Thank god for that to know who not to take serious anymore.
LMAO, all that's left is for you to proclaim you are excellent at draft picks. When did you turn into BaconBit, the Forum Resident Genius. JFC

I just have to say this before half the posts in the thread mysteriously disappear: this has been one hell of an entertaining read.

But why do you think the dolphins would score if they had the ball left?

Let me hear ur narrative to support that the Dolphins O had better chance to score than the Pats O
Amen.

We all realize that there’s no way to know what would’ve happened but the obscene idiocy in his logic is how certain he is the Patriots wouldn’t score combined with the absurd certainty that Miami would.

BB folded his king /3 preflop despite paying the big blind
————————
Glossary:
King= Pats defense
3= Pats offense
Big blind= #2 for Sanu

If our defense does its job on the last drive, the game is over and nobody is talking about the end of the 1st half.

It's obvious BB didn't trust the offense, it just gave 7 points to Miami earlier in the game..we lost the game because the offense wasn't good enough, the defense wasn't good enough and we were outplayed. If we would have fumbled or threw an interception that led to another Miami score, people would have been killing the decision. It's a typical second guess after the fact.
I’d be talking about it. I was talking about it as it was happening! It was cowardly and not what I’ve come to expect and enjoy from this team.

They have been wasting opportunities at the end of the half ever since "deferring" became an option for the coin flip in 2008, even when they had way better offences. This is not a new thing for this coaching staff, but certainly this is the most extreme example as this was the one with the most time/timeouts left on the clock. It's been irritating me for years, and happens more than you think.

In the Patriots/Seahawks Superbowl - Russell Wilson COULDN'T COMPLETE A PASS until 5 minutes left in the 2nd quarter. The Seahawks got the ball at their own 20 with 31 seconds left in the 1st half, and were receiving in the 2nd half. They got a touchdown, and almost won the game because of this one series. It hurts to believe the Patriots would have kneeled (knowing they would get the ball in the 2nd half), and hilarious to hear that some here would even support that decision.

As bad as that was, how sweet it would have been on that last play with two seconds left to get revenge for the Miami Miracle game.

The thought crossed my mind for sure.

Suckers to the end...
