Like it or not, he really has been the league's best clutch QB since Super Bowl 42. Pretty sure he has the most 4th quarter comeback victories since 2008 or so.

exactly, Eli has had a plethora of clutch plays in the 4th quarter. Proving that the tyree debacle was no fluke

Always take the ball. Giants score a TD on the first posession and the game is over. Same for the 9ers.

In this game, he'd already have lost if the 49ers didn't have a punt returner brain lock.


Eli's more of a gamer than his brother ever will be, but people are talking as if he's a top level QB when he's not.

The NFL has lucked out with two great games this weekend..

If SF wins the toss in overtime, what do they do? Normally I would say take the ball and trust yourself to score a TD, but with their offensive struggles and defensive strength I would consider kicking.

Anything can happen, but with the way the defenses are playing, it's hard to see either team with an 80-yard drive for a TD unless there's a crazy broken play. It really seems like this game is most likely to be won with a FG or a defensive score. If that's right, you defer.

The way both offenses and defenses are playing, this game could go into quadruple overtime. Maybe I will go bed and I can catch the end of the game in real time in the morning. Too bad the Super Bowl isn't net weekend, the Pats would have an advantage.
