The Washington Redskins had their Tuesday AM practice interrupted when players and team officials discovered the presence of an unknown, and potentially hazardous substance at Redskins Park. The practice was canceled and the field was immediately evacuated.
WBS Correspondent Tonya Tucker interviewed Redskins coach Jim Zorn shortly after the evacuation. "We have no idea what it was. We've never seen anything like it before and it really scared the hell out of our players and coaches. The worst part is that we don't know how long it could have been there. It could have gone unnoticed since the beginning of the season because we don't usually operate in area where it was discovered. We only came upon this time by sheer accident."
Practice was resumed two hours later when authorities from the bioterrorism division of the CDC and homeland security identified the mysterious white substance on the field as endzone paint.
