I've written this before: Reche Caldwell was a 4th quarter beast in this game. Instead he's remembered for his drops and his bug eyes the following week.
The 4th quarter of this game was "SB51 lite": Just a continuous sequence of plays (and play calls) that worked out in NE's favor. LDT was killing the Pats every time he ran left, but the Pats were doing just enough to keep the Chargers from going full Martyball and riding him to victory. That gave the Pats the opening they needed to take the game, aided by the ridiculous McCree fumble. The Pats still had to make a boatload of other plays that quarter, highlighted by the Faulk direct snap 2pt conversion to tie and the bomb to Caldwell on 3rd-and-10 that flipped the field and set up Gostkowski's winner.

Chris
