Falcons board says the fix was in

Russia?

In their defense, that would likely be mild next to the thermonuclear levels expected from this site if the Pats lost in that fashion. The KC loss in 2014 was a regular season game, and I submit the reactions after that loss were at best on par with any insanity from that board.

I hate how dumb people are sometimes as much as we hate Goodell he has no need to fix an outcome of a game EVER the NFL makes money either way why would he ever jeopardise $40m a year salary and the sport for something that doesn't matter?

Who plays and who wins the Super Bowl doesn't matter to the NFL, yeah they might get slightly higher ratings and make a few extra dollars with certain teams but they make plenty either way.

New England fans have had our share of heartbreaking and improbable losses. The 86 Red Sox were 1 strike away (twice) from the World Series and choked. The Pats were up 21-3 against the Colts in the 06 ALCS and lost. The not one but TWO Pats-Giants Super Bowls. The Bruins giving up 2 goals to the Blackhawks in the last minute to lose the Stanley Cup in 2013. There are many more.

And yet never once did I feel the need to go the conspiracy theory route. It's weird to me that people have to use that to try to make them feel better when their team losses

It is a sign of the times unfortunately... no one is better, or smarter, or prepares or executes better under pressure anymore... there are only chokers, and those who benefit from the choking.

all they had to do was NOT lose 23 yards

Read the first 2 pages. Most of them not believing this BS. Nothing to see here.

Fourth post:
"Did you really waste an hour on your time putting that together? This just makes us look like even bigger losers complaining the game was fixed. "

I thought the game was one of the better refereed games I've watched in a long time. If anything they let quite a few calls go that should have been called on the birds. Eventually they called some defensive holding and interference calls because it seems like the birds though they could do anything they wanted.

I hope the people who spent the latter half of the 2015 season saying the league fixed the product on the field read that thread and realize how stupid they looked. Do you have ANY idea how hard something like that would be to pull off without having dragged through the media and social media? It would be impossible to do it and have it kept on the low.

Pats weren't as bad as some people think either. They had decent drives in the first half but shot themselves in the foot with a fumble and pick 6. BB said to Chris Berman....Game declared itself by end of first quarter. Belichick said the coaching staff had a good feel for the game by the end of the first quarter, as the Falcons were playing primarily man coverage with a single-high safety. "It was a cover-1 game, absolutely," Belichick said. "We didn't have a lot of success running the ball. We were able to make enough throws outside, and that finally was the difference for us, when we were able to get the ball to the perimeter. … To me, the game declared at the end of the first quarter. It was a man-to-man game with free safety and it was an outside run game. We didn't do a great job at either one of them, but it declared early and we played it from there."

Well, 2 turnovers and 3 points is pretty bad. Lots of dropped balls as well. Pats were not great but the Falcons choked big time. The last Falcons position is a great example of the difference between the two teams. First, BB would have insisted that the receiver not take the ball out of the endzone. Second, without any time outs, he would have insisted Brady throw out routes to be able to stop the clock. Brady would have been smart enough to know that an those situations, an incomplete pass is better than a 6 yard gain in the middle of the field.

The difference in coaching, preparation, mental and physical fitness really showed up in the end of the game.

I remember back in the 2004-2004 days, reporters would comment that the Pats would not suffer defeat. They would take you by the neck and just rip your heart out. This team has that same approach. Hightower was going to get that ball. He just was. No RB was going to stop him. White was going to score. He just was.

The Falcons ran out of gas and didn't adapt their gameplan during the game...except maybe to back off the Pats with a big lead (plus being gassed).

I can't imagine being a Falcon fan after that debacle...

Omg...

Here's the thing that the idiots who think it was fixed don't realize:

If it was fixed, then it would have never played out the way it did. It would not have gotten to the point where you needed so much craziness just to have the Patriots pull it out.
