ESPN's Ed Werder reports Richard Sherman has torn ligaments in his elbow

I guess but 2014 draft was loaded at WR and I think we missed the boat at getting a true #1 that would've really helped more than a reach for Easley IMHO.

You are not happy with Brandon LaFell's production this year? 74 catches. 953 yards. 7TDs. It's really hard to imagine how a rookie WR could have pushed him out of the lineup.

Edelman had 92 catches for 972 yards and 4 TDs. That's pretty impressive production from your top 2 wide outs.

Where would a rookie have played?

Outside of Beckham, Evans and Watkins who would of you chosen with all confidence ahead of Easley?

Here's the receivers in the top 100 taken after Easley - some decent names but none that I would take over the potential that Easley has to shore up the interior line with his amazing burst when healthy. The good names on that list really don't offer us anything we don't already have.

Dominque Easley (29th pick)

Marquise Lee (39th)
Jordan Matthews (42nd)
Paul Richardson (45th)
Davante Adams (53rd)
Cody Latimer (56th)
Allen Robinson (61st)
Jarvis Landry (63rd)
Josh Huff (86th)
Donte Moncrief (90th)
John Brown (91st)

While we're on the "woulda, coulda, shoulda" topic of the draft, we should have taken Demarcus Lawerence over Easley.

Did a heck of a lot in the playoffs at DE for the Cowgirls this year.

I still for the life of me can't figure out the Easley pick.

Top 15 talent who was injured + an obvious need on the DL.

Out of curiosity, what position/player would you have liked to have seen targeted?

I don't have a problem with the Easley pick as of right now, because I can understand why they went in that direction, but pretending that a good handful of these rookie WRs wouldn't have helped is just false.

We still have a need for an outside receiver who can stretch the defense + open up the middle/underneath stuff, not to mention the fact that we still need depth/talent/speed/youth.

Well aren't we the negative nancy...

Agreed, but he does have a bit of a point.

No one on the Seahawks was even "limited" today, as everyone was practicing fully.

Pfft, anyone could participate with one of these:

I was being a smartass...Maybe I'm missing something?

Well, there have been some today who have reported that Thomas did not practice, and some yesterday who reported that he'd have to play in a shoulder harness.

That does not seem to be the case though, at least judging by Carroll's statements and the fact that he fully participated in practice on a Wednesday.

I'm still waiting for the report on a sprained movable muscular organ on the floor of the mouth sustained by **** Sherman...

Yep, let's see, a WR or a DT with star potential with the ability to get interior pressure? The choice is easy for me. Not saying they don't have a need for the deep threat but I value interior pressure from defense a lot more. No way I'm using a first round pick on anyone other than Watkins,Evans or Beckham.

Me thinks Sherman had a case of egowearegettingbeatbadelbowtitus. Grab arm and put your best warrior face on bro. Ifwearegoingtoloseitsgottobecuziminjuredbro.

Please Sup, you should know better. There are some people who believe ALL problems can be solved by adding another WR. Bad pass rush.....get a WR. Poor OL play....get a WR. If we ONLY had picked Dex Bryant......?

As to the OP - We have no idea how injured or not Thomas and Sherman are. My best guess is that their injuries were real. However 2 weeks have passed and they will be shot up with enough Toradol that they will be able to play through it with no fall off.

As far as reports we get from the Seahawks, of course they would say everything is fine. So would we. What else would they do, put an "X marks the spot sign" on the injury.

BTW- File this under some info that is actually useful - Troy Brown said the other day that he'd slap Sherman's elbow every time he'd release as part of his swim move to get away from him. Want to see if his elbow is really bothering him, check how physical he is with his hands on the press. If he backs off or only attacks with one hand, he has some real issues.

Thomas' shoulder shouldn't affect him, but could be an issue to pop out again......at THAT point it would become an issue. Between the harness and painkillers, I don't see a problem with him either.

So if the Pats win it was against an injury plagued Seattle team and aided by their cheating past. If Seattle wins then it overcame great obstacles in order to prevail. I can already write this story up for ESPN.

I'll take the former every day of the week. Especially knowing that it's media-fabricated BS.

The media wanted a story, so they made one. It was definitely aided by Patriots fatigue from other fan bases.

Good thing I don't have TV. The lead up to this weekend would be torture for me listening to these analysts and their knee jerk reactions.

Absolutely. There were also plenty of other players who could have been a help. Board favorite Joel Bitonio would have been a tremendous pick for this team, for example.
