more fake news. yes, im sure Bill and Brady are fighting over who deserves more credit for the dynasty....

im sure Felger/mazz/Shaugnessy are licking their chops.

Rather than enjoy this teams run to possibly a 6th superbowl

I stopped Listening to Felger when he wondered why the Patriots had not spent close tom the cap - back in Wilfork's last year.Jonathan explained they were saving room for incentives listed as not likely to be earned but are likely if Wilfork and mayo did not get injured again.
Clear as day to anyone with a brain. Felger either is an idiot who can't understand it, or he pretended to not understand it so he could continue with his contrarian schtick.
Either way, he's not for me. I wonder about the intelligene of his listeners.

yeah, the dynasty will break up because everyone wants to take credit for the dynasty? absolutely dumb.

Not to mention the fact that there was no way they could keep Jimmy G and Brady financially. they tried it and Jimmy wanted to play and wanted more $$. so they made a choice. they chose brady

I'm sure you heard about Cassel's being franchised and traded. What they never mention is BB points out Pioli helped them out of a cap problem.

I live abroad, listening to weei now, and was just wondering about Pat fans in NE who don't come to this site and only get their info from Boston and USA media . What are they thinking? Because most of the callers seem so ill-informed(imo) . Do you all have to explain to your friends what is going on?

My dad understands, everyone else I've spoken to has just taken the story as truth.

It is amazing the Hoyer component of this trade gets lost by everybody. It shouldn't be ignored

Its incredibly significant but the trolls, mediots and people who don't bother to do their homework couldn't care less.

Hoyer the destroyer is worthless....just a body to wipe things up if the **** hits the fan
Exactly why he was a key component in calculating the risk of doing the deal.

You can have any qb come in off the street and take the pats as far as hoyer....if familiarity is significant, then so be it, but that’s all there is

And that’s the value I saw in keeping garoppolo until after the season.....if Brady got hurt, garoppolo had a decent chance of finishing the job

But then again, that’s probably the exact thing many were afraid of

I don't have any friends. Thats why I have 36,000 goddamn posts.

(edit: I actually do have friends and a family. I'm a loser but not a total loser )

I think BB, Caserio, Brady, JMD knowing Hoyer and he having a very good knowledge of the offensive system was a pretty big factor in doing the deal with SF. Plus they have him cheap for 2 years while they groom TB12 2.0

They already had TB12 2.0 .... hubris and ego likely shipped him off

You don’t trade him away for the exact same reason you don’t trade Dion Lewis away

I don't agree. Moving on...

All those qbs the pats drafted before garoppolo is now what you’re staring at with ‘TB12 2.0” .... garoppolo was the exception .... especially if McDaniel moves on

And his conclusion is exactly what many of us have been saying for the past year, if you were for keeping Garrapolo you were for trading Brady. Those claiming they wanted to keep both were in fantasy land. And those now pining for Garrapolo shoild go root for the 49er’s because he’s not coming back, and those rooting for the Patriots and Brady to fail are not Patriot fans anymore. You can’t root for your team to fail and be a fan of the team. *The exception to that only comes when draft picks are involved and getting the higher pick makes yhe team better.
Yeah that's the line media hacks seek to use, that the Patriots could held both. They use the Felger "cap is crap" narrative. Convenient to fall back so that they don't have to advocate immideately trading the GOAT and best QB in the league. That would greatly weaken their argument.

I don't think they were ever truly serious about drafting Tom's successor until plucking Jimmy.

KOC, Mallet and Brisket were investments

yeah, pretty much. I don't see how anyone cant see this. Jimmy was the highest QB picked by the patriots and obviously was the most skilled backup. Brisett didnt have the passing ability of Jimmy but he clearly belongs in this league.

People act like the patriots cant draft a QB high in the 2nd round this year with skill and develop them to be a good player in their system. as if Jimmy was it....Im sure Bill already has his eye on someone they will draft this summer.

No, unlike you and the other trolls we want the Patriots to win regardless of who is playing. The Garrapolites on the other hand want Brady and the Patriots to fail because their binky was traded.

Whose hubris and whose ego?

Some just care more about being right than watching the team succeed at the expense of their argument. Doesn't seem like a very enjoyable way of watching the game but OK.

You trade him away because there is no reasonable way that keeping him is a good move. Belichick understood that.
