Bills under contract for 10 mil+ and his kids are employed here. He's not leaving for anything other than retirement.

THIS. Bill is not going to start over somewhere else, especially when key guys like McDaniels, Patricia and Caserio are also (likely) going their separate ways.

If he is really that pissed off then there could be a chance of retirement but he's not going elsewhere to coach an NFL team.

If he stays then great, all of this 'rift' talk is kind of meaningless. If he retires then major bummer but at least he's not jumping ship to another NFL team.

They never would have drafted Brady because they had Bledsoe, had a backup in Friesz who was signed for 2 more years and Bishop had just been drafted the previous year.

It's more likely someone trolled Wickersham not realizing that Wick was taking it seriously.

My issue is when people abuse it and ask the mods to close out anything they think could be a semblance of a troll. “Mods! Close this thread!” “Mods! Ban this poster!” Give me a break. You don’t run this forum.

If BB wanted Jimmy to take over from Brady he shouldn't have given Brady a contract running longer than Jimmy's.

Maybe he regret that but it is what it is.

I'm sure there's some friction in New England at the moment but I won't take wickersham's word for what it is and the extent of it.

A final thought on some comments in this thread:

I've been high on Jimmy for a long time and I would wish they could have made the move to him after this season. That seem to mean to some people here that I'm not a real patriot fan.

It would seem to me that wanting the patriots to be competitive after Brady is what all patriots fans should want.

Maybe I'm wrong about Jimmy and five years from now I'll be happy about how things went down. Maybe Jimmy sucks by then, maybe Brady has two or three more rings, and maybe he just handed the team over to a young prodigy that will keep the domination going for a few more decades. If so, I'll be happy to admit I was wrong. Having Brady have a fairytale ending and handing the team over with perfect timing to a young gun, would be perfect. But potential franchise qb's don't come around often, so let's hope we get lucky once again.

Point being: we all want what's best for the team. Disagreeing with each other doesn't make anybody true or fake fans of the team.

I don’t run anything here, but I do have the right to my opinion. I haven’t asked for any threads to be closed but I have said some should be moved to the appropriate forum. Political posts belong in the political forum, and threads about players who aren’t on the Patriots or aren’t going to be facing them belong in the NFL Forum. And while I don’t make any decision on them I or any other person here can recommend it.

We should have a thread and discuss on who is/isn't a troll and discuss. TBH is a Pats Fan but he, like Illegal likes to rile up the natives.

For example, Rhody, CutiePie and Triumph are the very definition of trolls

Agree all around.
We shouldn't dump on people who sometimes get annoyed with the Group Think and challenge it in a thoughtful manner. I don't think any of us want a Board where adherence to a Party Line is the highest value.
