For 99% of guys, they don't go out partying and drinking the way they used to before they got married and had kids. Why is Brady any different?
I'm just saying that is not why he is getting strange.

Why is brady the target of everyone?
First Goodell then Espn. The guy just wins and acts like a pro.
This article is clearly an attempt to paint Brady like an @sshole.
Starting out with a coach/player argument like it’s the end of the world, adding that OMG brady used the f word and Josh’s father was in the stands.
It’s painting brady like a spoiled brat threatened by his backup, who puts his trainer (and of course implying that his main concern is getting clients for his business) ahead of the team and is forcing B.B. out because he is a narcissistic child.
Remarkable that people will not see through this. Patriot fans who don’t should be ashamed of themselves.

Looks like ESPN is deleting negative comments on the piece also.

Being as I've been agreeing with this premise for years (especially as he's turned jobs down and remained here) and the fact I posted that late last night before this morning's fiasco hit, my post has zero to do with today's story. Otherwise, I'm simply stating the obvious: No coordinator/assistant would never publicly talk about wanting to be the future coach of their team and would most certainly downplay/deny it if asked.
We will have to agree to disagree.

Unquestionably exaggerated, but they were going to be at a crossroads with Garropolo/Brady no matter what - and even if Jimmy winds up being THE next Brady, Brady has done enough for this organization to be able to run out his final years on HIS terms

That certainly flies in the face of Belichick making all "football" decisions but this transcends "football" and it seems plausible to me that Kraft may have asserted himself in backing Brady, who may have been insulted that despite playing at MVP level at age 40 was still having to fend off the young QB with "potential" in the wings

Long term was it the right decision? We shall see. But Kraft likely saw the fan reaction to benching Eli Manning and wanted to avoid such strife among the fan base and in the locker room

If you ask me that's an appropriate role for the owner, to look at the true "Big" picture beyond the Xs and Os of football.

My gut says Belichick might have wanted a few more years post Brady to show that he could win with another QB however - so yeah, he might retire sooner than later now - and I won't rule him out going to another team to show he can be a success with another team as well.

It's what Parcells always said - a good coach can take his and beat yours, but a truly great coach can take yours and beat his! Belichick may want to prove that.

Still the right call by Kraft - the GOAT gets to finish his career with the Patriots - period.
Brady has already been the next Brady for the team.. Now he can be the next next Brady as well.

The opening segment of Zo & The waste of skin has just become must hear radio.

I can't stand ESPN as much as the next guy, but I actually didn't think the piece was "that" bad. Guerrero comes off as a scumbag, and Brady is not portrayed very well either. The article seems at least neutral on Belichick.

Lots of people thought Guerrero was the snitch and that the piece would rip Belichick, but the author does not go after BB. The article's tone towards Guerrero and TB12 indicates Guerrero is NOT the source for lots of this inside baseball...

The piece takes some of the shine off Brady, and to a lesser degree, Krafty Bob...

I'm on team Belichick on this one...

The source is obviously pro- Belichick....

Because it’s not new. Wickersham (and Van Nota) already made the claim that staffers believed it to be true in their “Deflategate is punishment for Spygate” article a year or so ago.
It was also stated in Vincent's punishment letter which said the level of severity was influenced by Spygate.

I don't think its the end as long as they keep winning. However, I think a lot of the bull crap going on internally probably true on some level, but I think it mostly about Alex G. Jimmy G is good no doubt, but 1.) You could not move on Brady. 2) you could NOT keep both much longer
We know there was bull crap around Guerrero. To what level of severity is unknown.

The rest of this article? Rubbish.

he believes absurd ridiculous things on the record...
We all believe ridiculous stuff. Thing is, most of us are so conditioned and self-unaware, that we don't even realize it. The difference is, Brady and others with open minds and high self awareness realize this and seek their own truth, regardless of what is considered "normal".

Like I already said, I totally understand why this is threatening to you. It can be very uncomfortable realizing that much of what you think you know is baloney. That said, to those who challenge those beliefs, the growth far outweighs the discomfort.

So keep chucking shade on a highly successful, moral person who treats others with respect while he finds his own way. That's what you were conditioned to do.

No, I mean that Wickersham had previously said that there were people in the stadium that believed it was true, so him putting the line about "staffers believed there was merit" in the Deflategate accusations is not any sort of new bombshell and it's not even a new claim by Wickersham.
