Yep...Todd Downing said that about a week agoI think Kyles said he’s learning every WR position so he can play across the board.

There are still 8 players higher on the depth chart of targets. I'm fine with Chism replacing Douglas.I think Kyles said he’s learning every WR position so he can play across the board.
Yeah. I have no idea how he will do in an actual game, but I think he has earned by his performance in the more controlled context of practice and preseasn a shot at showing what he can do. More broadly, I am concerned that Vrabel is failing to live up to what I thought was a promise that performance both in practice and in games is what gets you a shot at starting, not whether somebody is "one of your guys," or because of draft position, or based on presumed entitlement from the past, or because "we need a guy sorta like him," or some other criterion not really related to actual performance. Not to remain true to these announced principles will inevitably undermine efforts at building a performance-based culture, which I thought Vabel was committed to doing.
Tavai is he on IR? He's like a forgotten man? His return would definitely strengthen the rotation at the least. Marty seems to playing in that hybrid- LB role as well.. on CB as we all know once gonzo is back out there.. everyone else gets put in pecking order...
The one and only captain! .. I'm jealous cap what strain are you smokingAre you, like, higher than I am right now or something?
The Sloppy Jalopy is ****ing Garbage, as both a player AND as a human being. **** him.

A coach showing confidence in one of his players despite the fumbles and that player feeling entitled to it aren't the same thing.Bingo.
That line Vrabel used, about ending entitlement, at his very first PC? That was a Lie, as he himself has proven.
If Poop Dougl-ass & The Fumbler see extended snaps of significance tomorrow, then I hope they ****ing lose.
Hey.... what are you doing up... don't you have a game to watch tomorrow... are this bright lights on the field keeping you up..A coach showing confidence in one of his players despite the fumbles and that player feeling entitled to it aren't the same thing.
And who cares what cliche he said in the off-season be a hypocrite if you have to. Just don't be wrong and get the problem fixed.
Still earlyHey.... what are you doing up... don't you have a game to watch tomorrow... are this bright lights on the field keeping you up..
I'm usually in dreamland by now.. napped earlier so I'm up... how you feeling about the game??Still early
Mapu plays on passing downs. Tavai is not replacing him on passing downs.
Boutte has 3 catches for 44 yards in the last 2 games.
Hollins has 5 for 35
Douglas has 2 for 15.
That’s 3/4 of our WR corp producing 47 yards a game. That is not “playing well so we have the luxury of waiting”. That’s awful. To sum it up 3/4 of our wr snaps are being wasted on guys who are proving at a rate that would COMBINE FOR less than 700 receiving yards in a season. There are on average 1.8 snaps per play from these 3.
Ken, you know better than that.Excellent example of the haphazard use of stats to disseminate misinformation at best. A worst, an example of how lazy sloppy thinking can be used to give the wrong impression.
It is the height of football ignorance to equate the lack of catches and yards to bad play by the WR. The WR isn't deciding where the ball is going to go. What play is called. who the QB throws the ball to.
There is a clip of one of the long passes to Diggs in one of the post game threads that is interesting. It shows Boutee running a parallel route to the one Diggs ran about 10 yds to the left, and they both come clear at the same time only Maye throws it to Diggs. If he threw it to Boutee, does that mean Diggs is a bad receiver? And what about the bad throw Maye made to Boutee's feet. Again, HIS fault?
There are lot of ways to measure a WR's success within a game or as a whole. Catches an yds have a place if you look at in terms of an entire season or at least a large number of games. Looking at over 3 and you see a LOT of misinformation.
I'm not liking that also: hoping Boutte produced like he did in Game 1. We won't win against the Iron if we don't get more production from at least one of those guys.Mapu plays on passing downs. Tavai is not replacing him on passing downs.

ken: I hope you know Pop Douglas have a whopping 13yds in Four Games *yeah*. I'm sure after Two solid seasons you saw that coming. I'm hoping if some Team have a fire sale we go after a decent WR; we're somewhat lacking there.Excellent example of the haphazard use of stats to disseminate misinformation at best. We have game plan offense... each week will be a different guy. Boutte still makes clutch plays.. but the main guy should always be Diggs. He and Drake are developing as special connection.I'm not liking that also: hoping Boutte produced like he did in Game 1. Twin we need consistent production from at least one more WR. Look at how Buffalo is doing it: they have Coleman - Shakir and Palmer plus others. Allen is doing it just like Brady when he was here: with very good role players. We need ours to pick it up.We have game plan offense... each week will be a different guy.
