Eli Manning: An end of an era....

I like watching Eli suffer in games as much as the next guy, but I do think this is a dumb move by the Giants.

A tank job is indistinguishable from what they were doing anyway with this garbage roster and trash coach hated by everybody, and it's not like they can win the race for #1 overall against the Browns. The difference in wins between playing not-great Eli and outright-garbage Geno on this team is not even worth thinking about. It's not worth alienating every past and present Giants player, coach and fan over.

Mara said that both the coach and GM will be evaluated at the end of the season.

I think that might be owner speak for "They're both fired after week 17"

Why don't they fire McAdoo now and give Spags a chance? Rest of the year is wasted, why not evaluate Spags further and see if he's a guy you might consider being the true head coach?

I don't know, but my guess is that if one kicks that particular rock over, a lot of NFL, MLB, NHL and NBA stars will be found slithering for cover.

Put it this way, unless I was personally handed a "Game Worn" Jersey or piece of equipment by a player who took it off his body after a game as he handed it to me, I would never pay a premium for anything that claims to be "game worn" from anyone.

My guess is that its one of the biggest scams in sports, benefiting players, lockerroom attendants and memorabilia dealers at the expense of us gullible fans.

So, yeah, Eli was probably part of it, but I doubt very much that he is alone.

The real crime is that this clown is a shoe-in for the HoF.

Cause he failed once as a hc and isn’t doing a good job as dc?

Yeah but McAdoo is pretty much done no matter what, why keep him the rest of the way? I dunno, give someone else a shot.

I mean if Geno is the #2 they have to at least play him for one or 2 losses before they try the "lets see what the guy who couldnt beat out Geno for the #2 all year" can do for us. Its tank job, combine this with Jimmy G starting in Frisco the Gmen might play themselves into the #2 pick (read next Franchise QB)

Then you have to pay McAdoo to not coach and pay spagnola hc money. For what?
