QB or not I expect, barring an earlier move, if the draft gets to the point where NE is still in possession of pick 32 when it comes around they will trade it to a team that wants to have the highly desirable 5th year option available for whatever player they select. That option makes picks 30-32 quite a bit more valuable than they used to be.

David Duke taken at pick #32? Strangely enough, I’m so conditioned that nothing would surprise me with this team, anymore.

Can he even throw the ball with that big white sheet on?

This post was too well written and too intelligent for this Messageboard.

Just kidding, really intelligent points that are so true. I agree 100%.

Have to disagree about his accuracy. His intermediate/short accuracy is on point & if he had some WRs his deep % would have been better as well.
Lower half mechanics are great but his delivery is kinda lazy/long even though he does have a quick release. Much like Darnold last year, took him a while to get from A-B but has a quick trigger once the ball is there.

Biggest concern for me has been pocket presence. Seems to have almost no feel for the rush even though his feet are great.

When your QB is going to be 42 at the start of next season EVERY pundit is going to link the Pats to some QB or another.

That being said it WOULD be interesting to see what the Pats did if Jones is available to them at #32. We all held our breath when Jackson was there last season. But my guess is that Jones will be long gone by #20.

Overall my guess is that the basic thought process in THIS particular draft is to be in "reload mode" With 12 picks and a draft that's supposedly very deep, I look for us to use our picks to get most of our rookies from rounds 2-4. With some manipulation we could end up with 8 or 9 guys from those rounds.

I don't think it's a forgone conclusion he goes first round. He could slip to the 2d pretty easily.

Or they think someone could use a year or two playing behind Brady.

If you wait till he has to be replaced, then you're going to suck miserably for a couple of years. Which, by the way, can ruin a young QB.

There are completely unsubstantiated rumors going around on Twitter that Jones could be in play for the Giants at pick 6.

I read an article today that stated the Pats are interested in Mullens who played pretty well for the Niners when Jimmy G went down. Now is there any truth to this who knows.

after seeing Mullens in play last season, I "postulated" that the Return Of The Garrop was only a matter of time. Some conspiracists here thought this from the jump. Hey, stranger things have happened, right?

I’m sure that he’d prefer to wear the all-whites, but can you imagine the horror when he tries to introduce the Nazi uniform as an alternate color rush on Thursday Night Football?

Why did 2 people laugh at this I’d do a trade for him as well and let him lead under Brady for 3-4 years. Well never get a top 15 qb draft talent any other way

He's not a 1st rd prospect, but neither was Brady or Garopollo.

BB can't draft and coach up WR's, but he can definitely coach up the QBs and develop them.
