Seriously, kind of ridiculous.

CFL all the way though, if they have one.

Pro football hall of fame.Im having a big problem calling the CFL pro.I mean Rohan Davey tore up nfl europe now if he has a soso journeyman career in the nfl does he go to the hall of fame?Does the guy that holds the all time home run record in minor league ball make it to the hall?He gets paid hes a pro right?I see it as succeeding at a high level for a long time at the highest level.Thats what makes a hall of famer.

I would have to say.....

Should Doug Flutie be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame Yes/No?

I say yes because it's the "PRO" Football Hall of Fame and all that he accomplished in the CFL and NFL should be worthy of serious consideration and ultimately induction.

Heck NO......Flutes hasn't accomplished ANYTHING really in the National Football League.......nothing........However, if you were asking about the CFL Hall of Fame....He will UNDOUBTEDLY be in their HOF....the guy was perfectly suited for that league and style of play and excelled against players that couldn't make the teams in the NFL or were not up to the par of NFL caliber. It is amazing how BIG the differences are.....and even the NFL Europe games are a trip to watch...because even as good as these guys play over there.....many never "sniff" the field of the BIG LEAGUE of the NFL......

Congrats to FLutes in making the right decision....he'll make a good commentator.....

actually.....

I'd say yes if you count what he's done in the CFL and in college. His story as a football player is really an inspiration. Here's a guy who bounced around but found a lot of success and managed to make a lot of good memories. That drop kick was just the cap stone to a great career.

Now if you are going on NFL career alone, then I'd say it would be a tough argument to get him in. But I'd think we all know Doug Flutie is more of a player than just what he showed in the last 8 years in the NFL.

that drop kick was a carnival act IMHO.....there are TONS of players that could have made that "extra point" with practice....but none ever bothered doing it...because there was no point (pardon the pun) to it........

Ha Ha Ha Ha......

He doesn't even have 15,000 passing yards in the NFL...

And I don't think CFL counts towards the HOF, or at least certainly shouldn't. I mean, my grandmother could tear it up in that league.

"or at least certainly shouldn't. I mean, my grandmother could tear it up in that league."

HA HA HA HA.....LMAO........hey...the CFL serves it's purpose for all the guys who can't cut it in the NFL (although some make it down and are successful (Moon).....that gives them a chance to continue to play football.......I agree that it is a joke compared to the NFL....as is arena league IMHO.....

Pro-football HOF? Yes. NFL HOF? No.
Where is this NFL Hall Of Fame you guys keep refering to? I'm not doubting it's existence, just wondering where it is.

You people... be realistic!

The answer: NO CHANCE IN HELL!

I was originally going to say no because I thought it was based only on the NFL.

If the PRO football HOF considers other league accomplishments, then I think Flutie SHOULD be inducted. He was one of the best CFL players ever.

This poll is a joke, right?

Shhh... Let the Flakes have their fun and fantasy. There's no real harm here.

21 Years is one heck of a career.

one of my great memories is watching flutie's hail mary with my late dad. i admire and respect doug flutie as much as i admire any professional football player, but, no, he doesn't belong in the NFL HOF, unless somehow you can change the "C" to an "N" in the CFL record book...

Um... you all understand that there is no "pro football hall of fame"right? The hall in Canton is for the NFL and anyone that thinks Flutie should be inducted there needs to get off the pipe. College HOF, CFL HOF (even though I don't think there is such a thing) BC HOF all fine. But he is not one of the greatest Patriots of all time and certainly not one of the greatest NFL players of all time. He is not even the best QB that ever played in the USFL.

Special award for his contributions to football on and off the field, YES !!

HOF, no !

Ahhhh, Natick v. Framingham, my sons played against Doug's brother.

Still no.

Pro Football HOF has always "Implyied" NFL accomplishments, maybe????

If we include Canadian accomplishments then who is to say no to Europian accomplishments, then Far Eastern, ................... nope.

I don't think he should be in the pro football hall of fame but he should be inducted into the college football hall of fame.

Maybe the Canadian Hall of Fame but Not the NFL

The idea of Flutie in the HOF is LAUGHABLE. He doesn't have the stats and more importantly his impact on pro football was minimal. The hail mary was neat -- 22 years ago -- but had nothing to do with the NFL and when you think about it, was Flutie's high water mark in football.

6 CFL MVPs, and all those yards and TDs. I'd have to say a definite yes.
