Dont'a Hightower on the trade block?

Thanks Ron, 19 years of being right about how much Belichick sucks and you still don’t get any credit.

19 years Igor?

How do you even tie your own shoes?

You can never rule anything out with Bill. Hightower is a middle LB thumper who rushes on 3rd down. If Bill think's he can get some of the early down production out of Bentley and the 3rd down rush from a combination of Rivers/Langi/Van Noy etc then he may pull the trigger. Hightower's health plays into this too. Perhaps they know his long term prognosis isn't great.

Now I don't think they just trade him for nothing but if someone offered a 2nd rounder or better then Bill may look at it.

What is interesting is they have a lot of similar style LBs - Hightower, Bentley, Van Noy, even Roberts. They could do with finding a 3rd down cover guy and having less of the early down guys.
None of those players are a similar style to Hightower. None are even close. Hightower is going nowhere. He is healthy and once again will be a top 5 lb in the nfl

He’s going to pull a belichick, trade Hightower for a fifth rounder and a punter

How many of you have the dreaded feeling in the pit of your stomach that this is true?

Not me. It’s all bs.

I’d consider the possibility if a first round LB were taken back in April, but as it stands right now it would be a terrible move at a position that’s already weak.

Hightower not playing since last October probably has something to do with his high snap count.

Like Zo said during the game...gotta knock the rust off even if you run the risk of injury in preseason..he needs the reps to get ready for week 1

Yeah, especially if you are wearing the green dot

You can accomplish that with less snaps in what is essentially the second most useless preseason game.

BB does things in different ways as we all know..some make sense..others don't

Jason McCourty should have been playing in that game at least a few snaps..but didn't. It's clear that Rowe is in front of him however

Unless BB has something up his sleeve with a new player.

Wouldn't be the first time.

For that same reason Hightower's trade value is likely as low as it's ever been right now.

Patriot players still bring some value because they come from a winning franchise. Almendola? Collins? Mankins? Though Hightower is a year removed from 2016 in which he had not a great, but decent numbers, NE won the Super Bowl with his help.
