Agreed that the coaching needs to change but I find the attacks against Wolf to be unfounded.

He resigned key players, didn't overspend on overrated vets in a weak FA class just to make a splash.

He did the smart thing and drafted the right guy at #3, other GMs might have been cute and traded back.

He had a trade in place with the Bills to move up for Legette but was screwed over. His problem there was inexperience. Seems like he was banking on that trade up and didn't have a good plan in place when that fell through.

Polk was terrible pick. Caledon Wallace too early but not looking good. Layden Robinson shows promise. Baker is not working out. Who knows how Milton is looking but he maybe a serviceable back up QB that will save cap space for other positions for a couple seasons.

Nothing stands out as egregious, not like he chose Mayo and is super committed to him. Wasn't there reports that during training camp that Wolf was having doubts about Mayo being the HC?

You could be right about Wolf. However, rightfully, wrongfully, and unfortunately the Polk draft really stands out especially after the Mcconkey stats on Sunday against the Pats. But given a choice of Wolf or Mayo, Mayo needs to go and he can take Covington with him.

The first game of the season was deceiving as far as the Offensive Line goes because right after that the offensive line almost became non existent. But the OL also wasn't helped by Jacoby wanting to hold onto the ball so long.

A big issue is that Wolf's credibility does matter when it comes to who might want to come here to replace Mayo. It's much easier to hire a GM to put his operation in and say "hey if Mayo doesn't take a huge step up next year, you are the guy picking the HC".

Polk definitely stands out because they had a day to reevaluate for the start of the 2nd rd.

But I also question whether Kraft put pressure on getting an outside WR with the second pick. There were some good options at defense available at 34.

I wouldn't be opposed to Kraft firing both Wolf and Mayo and hiring A HC who picks his own GM or vice versa. I'm also not opposed to keeping Wolf and getting a new HC.

Either way Mayo Has proven he was not ready to be a HC and needs to be replaced

I think what's key here is that weeks ago Breer was a "Mayo is definitely safe" guy. Now he says it all needs to be burned to the ground. Is this really JUST HIS OPINION or does he know something?

I'm not a big fan of Breer he comes from the school of hearing things/rumblings which are off the record and creates/opines a narrative/opinion.

That way he is delivering on content but also maintaing some level of journalistic integrity.

I am not saying that he's not right, I think he is, but he's calling the Krafts on the carpet by saying the organization as a whole used to be Bill, now it's still Bill's system but no Bill. He's saying he whole thing needs to be junked, and I think he's right. The question is whether or not the Krafts see it. I am guessing they don't, just as Jerry Jones doesn't see that he's part of the problem in Dallas.

Personally speaking I think there could be considerations where they bring in Vrabel but keep AVP under him, for Maye's benefit, and keep Wolf in place. Vrabel brings in his own DC/defensive staff and also replaces some people on the offensive staff like WR coach, etc. Probably keep Springer too. They give AVP and Wolf one more year and if it's still bad then Vrabel goes and finds a GM he wants to work with, and also replaces AVP. It'll be less hard to find one under Vrabel and it'll be less impactful on Maye to switch offenses in his 3rd year.

With Vrabel at the helm, they will be able to sign some free agent talent that they couldn't under Mayo and also attract better coaching talent. With that better coaching, there's reason to believe that perhaps some of these much maligned draft picks turn it around and become productive next year, along with next year's crop.

This way it is not TOO much change all at once still, especially on your young QB/offense, but you have much better leadership and in-game decision making, as well as culture.

Not as well but pointed out he can run routes and like Zolak said you can tell if a WR has potential to become good and he sees none of that with Polk
