Content Post Does anyone think there is a chance Mayo is one and done?

This has an opening post with good commentary and information, which we definitely recommend reading.

You skipped my post immediately preceding this. You give Amy Strunk too much credit for understanding football and ignore the Ran Carthon fiasco, which precipitated things falling apart. Vrabel should never have been fired.
To clarify my post. I guess you and I are making the same points just expressing different events with Vrabel. Your are correct on your assessment. I was just eluding that decision that ultimately led to Vrabel being fired. He pissed off the owners, didn't mesh with the new GM. Vrabel is an alpha, and I would absolutely love to have him as HC. I like Mayo as a person. But HC is a different lane for him.

And how did this last off-season go?
Cap they resigned thier own guys not because they were such great players outside of Barmore. They had the monkey on thier back of being last in cash spending.. so they invested in home grown players to change the narrative with an all new regime. Also league rules state they have to spend.

Henry was worth resigning.

Oh yeah, thank god he isn't ruining drafts because the people we have right now are so fantastic, all the draft picks from last year have just played amazing football till now right ?????
I will take Bill over any of these coaches any day .
On the sidelines coaching? No doubt.

In the draft room? No ****ing way. Wolf just followed the Belichick recipe from rounds 2-7 but at least got the consensus QB at #3, Belichick by his words on draft night on the Pat McAfee show would probably not resist to a trade down offer and do who knows what with those picks. He was not drafting well for a lot of years and the result is this we are watching on the field on sundays, because this team doesn't get even a monday night primetime slot anymore.

I mean, 76 they would have won the Super Bowl if not for Ben Dreith. And 85 they were *in* the Super Bowl
I remember Phil Villapiano saying after the Raiders won the SB in 1976 that the Patriots would have beaten the Vikings too.

That tells me that he knows the Pats were the rightful winners of the Pats-Raiders game.

No. The problem was ownership wore thin with Vrabel and didn't like the fact he went to Foxborough on his bye week and his comments about the organization. That was ultimately why Vrabel was fired from Titans.
This is true as well. Vrabel was already in trouble for openly criticizing the GM, losing a power struggle over the roster and poor on field results before visiting Foxboro. The owner had to chose between the GM and the coach, his speech was just another nail in Vrabel's Tennessee coffin.

Yes! Agree. I like Vrabel and until I found out Mayo would be HC I was hoping vrabel would had been. But he's an alpha personality and a great coach. Isn't he an assistant coach somewhere now?

I don't think that will be enough good Coaching matters and we don't have that in Mayo. He's the neck of this abysmal Coaching staff unfortunately.
PF2.. if they give lowe and an extension, then I'm officially emphatically out on Mayo.

Henry was worth resigning.
So... report out there with Bill is in negotiations with UNC he wants Stephen Belichick to be his successor, Matt Patricia as DC and Ben Daniels as OC.

Reported just now on 98.5 sports Hub.

There are worse backups than Lowe.

Just don’t throw big money at him….

And I am already out on Mayo.

There is no reason to expect Mayo to be a good HC based on his background.

Mayo was hired prematurely and for the wrong reasons.

Good for him.

Who is Ben Daniels?
