Just remember that play action and draws are technically trick plays.

I love Flea Flickers, I don't really know why, but I just think they are fun!

Funny, saw most of 32 teams do at least one, squealers and jesters didn’t make the highlight reel. (At least on O).

If Mac is out wide, they still have to cover him, even if he is almost always just going to be a decoy. So then your run game has an extra guy - kind of like having a mobile QB.

Never really understood why on those 3rd-and-inches type plays they don't replace the QB with another RB. Everyone knows it's going to be a run, and surely a sneak or block by a RB is going to be better than one by the QB.

As long as they don't use the same plays over and over again, I don't mind it. I think if you run a lot of trick plays it can be as effective as when you use them judiciously in big games (in a different way). If you are known for doing trick plays, teams have to prepare for the unexpected. But if you become predictable with your trick plays, it then becomes a liability and waste of trick plays.

There are so many types of trick plays and so many different ways you can do individual trick plays that you can still fool defenses every time you run them if done right.

I like seeing them, but it feels like we are using up all our stores too early in the year. It also seems to me that the Pats are letting someone other than Mac be responsible for the first TD, to get him over the hump or something. Weird.

When the Pats show wildcat with Harris near the goal line I don't know why other teams don't just line up and press their LB's right in the gaps to stuff the run that's coming. Obviously that would cause a lot of problems defending a pass but I don't think Harris is much of a passer. Or is he? Guess we'll find out.

Trick plays almost always work, so I say The more the merrier... Especially with this offense, which needs all the help it can get... Pats should run more sweeps/reverses too, at least one per possession...

Do whatever it takes to win. The Patriots are not in the same position as they were in the 2010's. They don't have the superior talent. So, use your bag of tricks, if the trick plays help you win, use em. JM isn't calling these trick plays to be cute, it's because they are plays that are helping us to score more points.

Now if we took the way back machine to the 2010s, I'd say no, hold up these aces to use in the playoffs so they haven't been scouted yet. But we're in no position to hold anything back. Believe it or not, on most Sundays in 2021 the Pats will be underdogs. As it stands, we're on the outside looking in for the playoffs so do what it takes to win. This squad is NOT talented enough to 'hold back' plays.

The run doesn't have to be straight ahead - could run wide and then those LB's are badly positioned to move horizontally (unless they can penetrate into the backfield of course).

Sure i like watching trick plays, but if you use them to often there not trick plays any longer, and the other teams know to look for them.

I like trick plays, my favorite play in football is the Flea Flicker. That said we have seen a lot of trick plays early, but I get the feeling (and I may be alone in this) that the coaching staff is sort of treating this season like an extended mini camp. Obviously they're still trying to win, but I think they're also trying to give the team a lot of different looks, try a bunch of new and different things and see what each of our skill players can do. That's also why I think we've seen the training wheels gradually coming off Mac and the offense as the coaches open up new things or come up with new ideas.

I'd love to make the playoffs this year and prove all the haters wrong, but after the misery of watching Cam Newton be the face of my beloved franchise for over a year I'm just happy to see a future finally after Brady left.

Big fan of the trick plays......a little razzle dazzle...........but just not against the Jets. You don't have to resort to gimmicks to beat them.

Save the razzle dazzle for worthy opponents.
