Do you enjoy the super bowl when the Patriots are in it?

My favorite part is probably the after math of it all. Once I know its over and we won and I can just let loose and get as hammered as possible and read the messages from haters crying in their tears about how the pats won another SB. During the game, I often have to pause at times to calm my nerves down.

Sometimes I take a snack break to bring up my mood if im stressing too much. I have DVR so I don't have to worry about missing anything so I can take a break whenever I see fit. I do have fun though. I also stress. I also yell.... In fact, I'm not sure if there is one emotion I don't feel at some point in the game.

In my mind, Football is the best and among the oldest reality TV shows.

Does it get tense, sure it does. But that's because you (me) care about the results. It's why I don't watch the game with non-fans (would have to be Patriot and/or hard core Eagle fans). Casual (Patriot) fans are among the worst to watch the game with.

And the after shows are only good if your team wins, otherwise I tend to avoid most of the hysteria for a couple days.

I was just talking about this exact topic with my co-workers here, who majority Giants/Jets fans, when they asked me what I think about the Superbowl this year.

- I'm ecstatic when they make it to the Superbowl, and thrilled when they win it. But the 3.5 hours of game itself, are just too much for me to take. Like others have said, if maybe just for once, they started fast, and built up a multi-possession lead, I might, just for once, be able to enjoy the game. The trailing from behind, and then a 1-score or even less lead, are just too much to bear at my age (and I'm only 40).

Honestly, I like watching football and I like watching the Pats play football. So, thanks to the Pats, I have been able to enjoy watching from basically August to February. Football used to end in December for the Pats (if not earlier!), so I am enjoying it while it last.

You know what I really enjoyed? The drive in OT against the Falcons. Our offense was like an avalanche rolling downhill. It was a unique feeling, because you knew if you reached the end-zone, you win the Super Bowl. There was no "the other team gets the ball back with time remaining" or anything like that. The end-zone was the end of the season, the championship. And we had all the momentum from that comeback. It just felt like an inevitability, like a progress bar on a computer screen marching to 100%. It was amazing.
Only thing that would have made it better would have been Bennett catching that pass for a TD. Number one, no question he was in, and two, Brady threw that one fade before White scored that nearly ended my life.

Do you enjoy sex when your penis is in it?
Doesn't it depend on the opponent's skill? Either way, the ending ususally is best.

My plan is to drink until I'm unconscious before the game. When I wake up it will all be over, and I'll have avoided the stress and aggravation of the game itself.

I have to admit, I've gone numb........it's just another game with more beer and food

I start drinking earlier

I do not watch the Super Bowl unless the Pats are in it - or very rarely... or If I do, I only tune in for the football parts. I ****ing hate EVERYTHING around the Super Bowl. I am a football fan, I do not care about the damn pregame ceremony, nor the stupid half-time show, nor the 432794732842378 commercial breaks. I love the game, not the peripheral stuff. I want football talk, I do not care about what player X is wearing or what song generic artist #3248392 will sing during the pregame ceremony.

All the "social" stuff around the game annoys me tremendously. I just wanna watch FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTBALL!
