Deshaun Watson accused of sexual assault in lawsuit

The big question to me is how much these women knew about what he was asking them to do, before they started working on him. Informed compliance is a form of consent, after all, or at least so I've been led to believe

The obvious consequences of a thing you consented to do are part of what you consented to. And when it comes to massaging a dude's groin area, the obvious consequences encompass literally everything that I've heard detailed in the various reports. There is going to be penis contact, Dude's gonna salute the flag, the dude's is going to have male reactions to the massage up to and including ejaculation. These are known and obvious consequences of agreeing to do that thing to him.

That being the case, this is one of the big reasons I have a hard time feeling like these masseuses have a leg to stand on. private businesses have the right to refuse service after all. they were not forced by Watson to do this for him: they were PAID to do this for him. Sexual harrassment claims are hard to sustain in light of an agreement, such as that between a service provider and their clients, to perform the tasks complained about. You could always have turned down his money instead.

You should attend the next LGBTQ demonstration held in your neighborhood and make your opinion known vocally and figuratively with a huge sign....I'd love to live stream that

In looking at the summary of the complaints, the prevailing accusation is DW wants a nude massage, wants them to concentrate in the groin area, and his penis touches their hand. There's a couple that say he ejaculated, one or two talk about unwanted kissing, one talks about forced oral sex, one talks about wanting his ass touched.

You have a 25 yo man that's specifically looking for relaxation nude massages concentrating in the groin area and he's letting many of the women know via IG. It's not hard to believe a masseuse that's massaging a nude 25 yo man in the groin area, would have her hand come in contact with his penis once he gets an erection because of the massage. I'm sure this happens all the time during nude full body massages unless the dude is old AF and needs 2 little blue pills to get a woody.

The forced oral sex is the worse of the accusations and a huge problem if true. A good trial attorney should be able to tear through most of these cases if all they have are the public facts which is unfortunate if the accusations are true.
Blaming the victim. Bold strategy.

Stop while you only sound very stupid.

We could assume apparently unlike you, he has actually had sex with a woman before and won’t blow his load at the sight of one.

Clearly you don’t have any daughters and I find myself thankful for their nonexistent sake.

Yep. The best part is I'm a college dropout and full time failure, and I'm educated enough to note the distinction too.
Although it sounds catchy, I hope you're not putting this in your resume.

I'm just fascinated by what the defense strategy would be on something like this.

I presume your bold strategy would be to plead guilty on all counts. Lmao

Could of been like that scene with Nadia in Jim's bedroom from "American Pie".

You can't possibly be this clueless.
What part of what he said is the "clueless" part? I believe we are headed for a settlement and I believe that is what Buzbee wants. Please note those beliefs are based on very little other than how these situations usually get resolved, and I 100% reserve the right to change my mind when new information comes out.

However, if Watson fights this all the way and we do go to trial, then (assuming the petitions aren't withdrawn) the accusers are going to have to show up and testify. It would actually first happen during discovery (which takes place before the trial begins) but certainly also during the trial. Buzbee can't go into court all by his lonesome and tell everyone Watson is a rapist like he can with the media.

The way he's described as ejaculating like a geyser just from getting a massage, the dude needs a sex therapist not a masseuse.
Sounds like that scene from Scary Movie. Can't post that clip here...

Consent is something which can be withdrawn at any time. A woman can always refuse to engage in sexual interaction. (I suppose men can too but why would we?) A woman can promise you all day long she's going to give you the sweet sweet stuff and then change her mind at the last minute and there ain't a damn thing you can do except go home and take a cold shower.

Having said that....

Fact of the matter is that a case like this relies a great deal on credibility. So let's pretend (and this is just a made up hypothetical people so let's all relax!) Watson showed in court a text exchange where a masseuse agreed beforehand she would sexually service Watson in exchange for money. She absolutely, 100% has the right to change her mind at any point in time but one may reasonably wonder what a jury would think if they saw such texts. I imagine a jury would not believe her if she claimed she was shocked - shocked! - that Watson got undressed completely out of nowhere.

This is what I mean when I say that some of the statements read like dimestore pornos. He's a healthy young man, but still.

Probably they will deny everything and hope the jury believes the celebrity over the unknown. I’m sure they will try to discredit the victims.
but blaming the victims will fail miserably in 2021.

So the Dec 28 account, being the most troublesome, is the one his marketing manager says they tried to extort $30k from DW. If that's the case Sleezbe is in trouble. Has he shared this with Houston PD like he said he would by Monday?

Dec. 28, 2020, at a Houston office building. The woman, a licensed massage therapist since 2018, says Watson contacted her through Instagram. During the session, she says, Watson instructed her to slide her hands across his genitals. The woman says she started shaking and felt intimidated and threatened. The lawsuit says that he forced the woman to have oral sex and that she blacked out for a few minutes from fear. She says Watson then got dressed and left.

The lawsuit says that he forced the woman to have oral sex and that she blacked out for a few minutes from fear. She says Watson then got dressed and left.

Sleezbee's response:

"My first reaction is that there have been so many massage sessions from Instagram that Mr. Watson can’t keep track of them — recall he, on Twitter, initially criticized me and denied everything. I can’t tell you how many people have stepped forward to report similar conduct or provide information. That info will be released, again in public filings — not in the media.

"My second reaction is a question: Why would his marketing agent admit Watson had sex for pay with a massage therapist, consensual or otherwise?” Buzbee said. “We will also provide a copy of the non-disclosure agreement that Deshaun Watson and his marketing manager repeatedly insisted that Jane Doe (and others) sign after (and sometimes before) the ‘massage session,’ which she refused to sign.

“I do appreciate Mr. Hardin’s professionalism and his words of support for victims, but would respectfully suggest there are many facts here that we will put in public filings, that Mr. Hardin might not be aware of. We will provide additional details in a statement, consistent with our ethical obligations in due course. I’m hoping we can do so by Friday.”

If there is a courtroom, wouldn't a he-said vs she×13-said case value character witnesses?
It's now a he-said shex16-said case. It's getting difficult to keep up. It also adds to the number of hoops you and @Simpelton have to jump through to defend the predator.
