The comments are expected. Anyone elses WR are better than ours'. The low draft cost should be a warning. If Samuel's health production and durability issues were clearer than he would have returned a lot more than a 5th. Washington is on the hook for $19MM for this year and IIRC the Niners will carry a big number in dead money ($27MM or something) for this year.
I'm wondering if we are going to see the WR start to taper off shortly. Even if its just for a bit. WR's might have cost a lot in cap space last year at the trade deadline, but they took very little in trade capital. Looks like its going to be the same going forward. It's just that teams are finding out that while we all love great WR's, colleges are producing them in ever increasing numbers and each year's crop seems to be bigger and faster than the last year years. Pretty soon, teams are going to start to notice that there are more and more good sized, very fast, and very quick WR's who do NOT cost $20-30MM/yr and are walking around in EVERY TC.
Look what happened to the cost of RB's when all of a sudden there were a lot of very good ones that weren't costing an arm and a leg.
