Deebo and Larry Centers are nowhere near the same situations, players, or positions.
I mean Centers had a much better receiving percentage and caught the ball a lot more.

Same size, very similar stats. Worth 21m?

Our 5th Rounder would have been a heck of a lot better.

I guess we are going after Chris Godwin.

The comments are expected. Anyone elses WR are better than ours'. The low draft cost should be a warning. If Samuel's health production and durability issues were clearer than he would have returned a lot more than a 5th. Washington is on the hook for $19MM for this year and IIRC the Niners will carry a big number in dead money ($27MM or something) for this year.

I'm wondering if we are going to see the WR start to taper off shortly. Even if its just for a bit. WR's might have cost a lot in cap space last year at the trade deadline, but they took very little in trade capital. Looks like its going to be the same going forward. It's just that teams are finding out that while we all love great WR's, colleges are producing them in ever increasing numbers and each year's crop seems to be bigger and faster than the last year years. Pretty soon, teams are going to start to notice that there are more and more good sized, very fast, and very quick WR's who do NOT cost $20-30MM/yr and are walking around in EVERY TC.

Look what happened to the cost of RB's when all of a sudden there were a lot of very good ones that weren't costing an arm and a leg.

I'm laughing so hard I might break a rib.....

Not a trade that Patriots should of made at all. Right?

Wow the Rich just get Richer!

Not only did Washington make the playoffs after drafting dynamic franchise QB Jayden Daniels, they just gave him another weapon for a measly 5th round pick. Looks like they will be in the playoffs again next year.

Hopefully our front office will make moves to improve the team soon. Get us DK Metcalf and I'll be a happy camper!

One man's trash another man's treasure. Yes Deebo does have a injury history but he's still a Good player. We don't have any WR on our Roster better than him...the Commanders already have Terry McLaurin. This is a move BB would have made during the Dynasty years...Trade for a quote and quote washed up player. How did that work out for us?? I will say it again our 5th Rounder would have been better. FTR: our WR's were Ranked dead last in the League.

I don't think it's a move the Patriots should of made, Deebo is not a player that's aging well he's a guy who has taken way more of a beating than a typical WR.

If i'm taking an older WR who's in his final years for some immediate impact i want more of a technician like Diggs or Kupp, Deebo is someone who has relied on athletic ability more than crisp route running.

Even though i don't love the idea of Kupp as much as i would have 3 years ago i would much prefer him to Deebo for the next 2 years.
Diggs is older coming off a ACL I don't expect him to be ready. Also might want to go to a Contendah!!

So, what are you saying exactly?

So, what are you saying exactly?
We are not a desirable spot... Drafting and developing our own players is the only way we can keep em. We are getting second rate players in FA...Top tier players are saying he'll no!! We better start Drafting well. Really hope that sinks in.

You're complaining about us not getting Deebo, stop it, you're not 5 years old.
Deebo is a decent player, think Corderelle Patterson, is he worth much? 15-20m? Get real

Not really interested in Deebo. Injury prone now and clearly on the downside. Was more annoyed we didn’t go in for Jeudy last year at a similar price. The only issue with the Deebo trade is that it may take Aiyuk off the block.

BTW, FA hasn't even started, so stop fkn w hining.
You're pathetic.

Washington is a team on the build. We are a team which has had - what? - three failed starts to a rebuild. We are a team with no demonstrated capacity - Maye's having fallen into our laps aside - to make effective use of draft or trade or free agency. We are a team which has retained the services of an ersatz GM who has repeatedly, under two head coaches, failed to do his job. If you were a last-waltz player like Deebo, what the hell would you do?

Mark daniels said patriots weren't in on deebo

I wonder if we even called SF to ask what they wanted. A 5th round pick? Maybe Deebo didn’t want to come here is my guess
Did you watch Deebo last year? Hard pass on that salary. The draft pick isn’t the problem.
