Still available:
  • WR Denzel Mims
  • OT Josh Jones
  • OT Ezra Cleveland
  • All top RBs minus CEH
  • TE Cole Kmet
  • TE Adam Trautman
  • DE AJ Epenesa
  • DE/OLB Yetur Gross-Matos
  • DE/OLB Zach Baun
  • DT Ross Blacklock
  • S Xavier McKinney
  • S Grant Delpit
  • S Ashtyn Davis
  • S Antoine Winfield Jr.

I would add WR Justin Jefferson and DL Neville Gallimore

Baun, Gross-Matos, Epenesa, and Kmet jump out as quality values at need positions to me.

But adding the extra 3rd could allow us to go BPA if someone like McKinney falls.

All these guys were in talks at 23, so the trade down works out well, since there should be more than one option available. Of course, Bill will pick someone else though.

Safety may be more of a need than you think after trading Harmon. The two returners are both getting older (33).

There was a bunch of smoke around Kmet in the past 36 hours, and I’d feel a lot better about taking him at 37 than 23. I’d be aiming for an edge guy at 37 and potentially a trade up for a TE, though.

They are, I just think we have glaring holes elsewhere right now, and those guys are still going to play. I could see us taking a safety, which is why I brought up McKinney, but I do believe we have more pressing needs that could be filled first.

got a feeling obi will be playing Harmons role.

I would love it if he developed. His athletic ability at his size would be a tremendous piece to move around. I just dont think its something we can count on happening. Hes spent as much time on the practice squad as he has the active roster.

Between all the QBs and OTs and WRs and Reaches, NE in a position to add a handful of players I would have liked at 23...excellent (Epenesa, Lewis, ect.)

We’ll see. Secondary was stacked last year so playing time was just not there, so he made it to the practice squad on a futures contract. He’s big, he’s fast and has exceptional short area quickness. Pretty much been derailed by injuries since he’s been drafted. Lets see if he can kick the injury bug and contribute in a big way.

There are probably 25 additional WR's with 2nd or 3rd round grades. Examples includes Shenault, Higgins and Pittman stand out (all possible at 37).

I consider it quite possible that we trade down again if the Belichick top TE's and safeties are gone.

There is a second Jefferson, but Van Jefferson would be a 4th round target.
Correct but I meant Justin as an early day 2 option. However Van Jefferson would be a nice addition as well.

I know there'll be deals, but...Day 2 Mock:
37) AJ Epenesa, DL, Iowa
71) Terrell Lewis, DE, Alabama
87) Jake Fromm, QB, UGA
98) Donavan Peoples-Jones, WR, Michigan
100) Adam Trautman, TE, Dayton

I don't think Trautman will last until 100, rather pick him up at 87
