2. Punt-fumble-recovery-TD.

When did that happen? They blocked a punt. But I don't remember a fumble return for a TD on that play (or a fumble returned for a TD in the game at all).

Well, that's a poor way of saying it.

And Denver recovered the blocked punt. But it wasn't enough for a first down...and the ball didn't cross the LOS.

@oldrover wasn't referring to the denver blocked punt by burkhead. he was referring to the patriots' punt after their initial 3-and-out on the first drive of the game, muffed by mckenzie, and recovered by jacob hollister at the denver 24-yard line. the patriots scored a TD two plays later.

so "punt-fumble-recovery-TD" happened in a span of 3 plays. it's a reasonable expression of that sequence of plays.

I had people arguing with me here a few weeks into the season that the Broncos were contenders despite missing the playoffs last year and despite having one of the worst offenses in the league . Now their defense is a mess too. They are a bad team. Still very satisfying destroying them. Can't stand those dirty scumbags.

The Broncos started out 3-1, with wins over the Chargers, Cowboys and Raiders, and had put up 24, 42 and 16 points in the wins. Of course they were considered a contender at that point.
