I've seen and heard Brady say -- when asked directly in a lockerroom interview about the Red Sox' playoff run a few years ago -- "I don't care about them. I care about the Patriots." He also has been quoted as being annoyed at the baseball chanting/cheering while the Pats are playing.
Perhaps he also said the things you claim, it would only be politically correct. Sounds like a PR-advised revisionist opinion, actually. But he's not the only one to have reacted negatively to this matter.
I don't want to make a big deal out of this....but since it's now a thread my thoughts are this. I think that chant at a football game is ridiculous. It makes Patriot fans look and sound like complete yahoos. It’s almost as bad as the Yankees suck chant I used to hear in Foxboro. Save those chants for Fenway. It’s bad enough the Sox are on the front page of the Globe every time a Red Sox player farts. But chanting "Let’s Go Sox" at a Patriot game is disrespectful to the Patriot players and the organization.
Why can't you stop talking about the Red Sox?This message is hidden because Tunescribe is on your ignore list.
Why can't you stop talking about the Red Sox?
You have twice as many posts in this thread as any Sox fan.
Once again...who cares how the Patriots "FEEL"? They're not a bunch of over-sensitive women! (sorry ladies!)
LETS GO RED SOX!!!!!!!!!
Seriously though, why is this a big deal. A lot of Patriot fans are also Sox fans. Its a great day to be a fan of both teams and who cares if some fans want to celebrate?

Did anyone stop to think that perhaps some of the New England retirees in the stands were confused and thinking they WERE watching the Red Sox?
It's south Florida people....show some sensitivity for the elderly!
You don't read much, do you? And if you can't understand why cheering for baseball at a football game makes those fans sound like bandwagoners, you need a remedial course in general comprehension.
If the Sox are up 8-1 in the ninth I don't expect a "Let's go Patriots" chant to break out at Fenway tonight. Again, save the chants for baseball games.
I've been thinking about it, and I do see where Tunescribe is coming from, but still disagree with him that the chant is disrespectful to the team. Let's reverse scenarios here and say that during the Red Sox game tonight, in a tight game in the 5th inning, a chant of "Lets go Pats" starts up. I can definitely see this being disrespectful to the team, especially because the Red Sox are in a POSTSEASON game while the Patriots are in the middle of the regular season.
However, lets say that the Red Sox are in the middle of the regular season and the Pats are in the postseason (I know this cannot happen but lets be hypothetical here), and at the end of a Red Sox game with the game in hand, the crowd starts a "Let's go Pats" chant the day before the Patriots play Indy in the AFC Championship game. I see this as no disrespect to the Red Sox and just shows the passion of New England fans.
My point is that the Red Sox are in game 7 of the ALCS, a huge reason for fans to cheer, and I just can't see the Patriots players being angry about fans cheering for them, with no reason to be so.
