Some of the young people in China that got the virus and recovered were tested a few months later and had 20-30% reduced lung capacity. Shyyyt
Permanent damage? Source?

I've spent a lot of time in China and after every trip I always felt like I smoked a carton of Marlboros.

I'd like to see source this as well. I have heard this someplace else.

Ok. I agree but I'm pretty upset with China's handling of this. We should call it China's virus. Maybe next time they'll save face a little differently instead of letting it spread for two or three months before letting the rest of the world know that we're about to get hit with a doozy.

I think you meant how the Chinese party leaders handled it.

There were plenty of Chinese people that got the message out, scientists, doctors, and nurses who blew the whistle, before they got muzzled. They also passed on valuable data.

Trump engaged in petty schoolyard fights over semantics with journalists while the world burns is Trump in a nutshell, his supporters love it, and the media just can't help themselves from outting themselves in a place where Trump is comfortable (as opposed to, like, literally any other situation). Literally doesn't matter what you call a virus when people are dying and going to continue to die, and nationalists are going to do nationalism regardless of whether you tut tut them over it.

Exactly. It doesn’t matter what you call it. I could careless if he called it covid, corona virus, Chinese virus, coronavirus... literally doesn’t matter

moron reporter says something along the lines of “being Chinese doesn’t cause you to have the virus, so why keep using the term”. It’s like she was assuming he was using it in a racist way which he’s clearly not

Ask @italian pat patriot if it’s overblown.
This is simply a tragedy
Seems a nightmare

Now Bergamo and Brescia are the most impacted areas

Seems never ending...

Worried a lot also about economical impact...i expect it as a huge huge problem everywhere...

I'm not disputing it and i'm taking what the poster is saying very seriously.

But man.....the pollution in that country is absolutely brutal.

Oh I know you are, brother. My son and I wee discussing this last night. Unfortunately, there's a lot of mis or false information out there.

Italy just had it's worst day of deaths with over 400. Every day it's going up and up even under complete lock down and this graph here shows the US is heading to the same path about 12 days behind them.

Who know who long those of us working from home will be stuck at home but our company said 3 weeks as of now. Will see how long it really is.

It's going to come quick. Stay safe everyone.

See my post above. Report is from HK not mainland.

She wanted to correct him, IMO. I thought her tone was scolding in nature.

Saying something is permanent after a few weeks is premature, if not ludicrous

If your leg is cut off, would you wait years to say it's a permanent disability?

Still not helpful.
Neither was China when this thing first broke out. They could have squashed it right then and there and maybe proved to the world that they were no longer a third world ****h0le. But they didn’t. Now we have a problem much bigger on our hands than calling a virus that originated in China the “Chinese Virus.”
