I have no idea who or how many have been tested. The test kits have just started rolling out. So I expect to see more spikes.

Hopefully we'll get a better picture of where we are in a few weeks.

It's gonna skyrocket.

I'm running a new ad campaign on Facebook (started last week, B2B), targeting the restaurant industry.

Results are horrible.

One thought is maybe restaurants want to save money now and have more free time to look into things.

But of course this could just be a horrible time to advertise with everyone focused on the virus.

So if there are any business owners on here... are you advertising now, or waiting this out?

2 people in my office building have it so now we all are self quarantining for 7 days.......fun.

For those still going to bars and restaurants...it's not worth it. Walsh should have shut down the bars before last night and sooner or later we need to have a shut down everything like Italy..France ect.

We were wayy too late in dealing with this...

The timeframes are very different. The first report of community spread in the US was two weeks ago. We're still in the early days of this and the trend of the contagion curve - whether it shoots up exponentially or bends like in South Korea - remains to be seen.

Flu is also a known commodity. Hospitals are prepared for flu and flu-like symptoms each year. There's a significant chance this overwhelms the healthcare system and that causes cascading failures.

According to every media story I've googled, this virus is not a if but when you get it.

70% of us will have it within 18 months.

80% of us will show little to no symptoms.

While the other 20% will need a hospital visit and or direct care.

Basically what it seems like to me is that IF IT SPREADS at the speed they say it will that there wont be enough ventilator machines for the amount of people who are gonna need it to help with their breathing while their immune system does its thing.

I've also read conflicting reports on wether or not you build an immunity to it once it passes. We really sont need this thing to be a seasonal issue for us.

I personally didnt buy into the hype but it's been triggering my anxiety since the nba started the domino effect.

And the Spanish flu mutated and had three different waves. Imagine if it effected children as much as elderly. This is some serious sht.

Cut him some slack. Denial is one way people are dealing with this. It's a really, really bad way to deal with this because it puts others at risk, but I'm afraid the only way he and others lime him will come around is when testing is broadly available and the case and fatality counts start shooting up exponentially, by which point it's going to be too late.

It defiantly can be bent...problem is we need strict no travel..stay inside for a week or two ect

NY Governor saying the hospitals will inevitably be overrun. Not nearly enough beds and respirators to handle the rush.

He's asking the government to immediately begin building more facilities and equipment.

Hopefully someone is paying attention.

Once testing catches up..people will panic a lot more because a ton of people out there are carriers and we don't even know it.
