Conditioning run test...

I pass the 30 seconds of rest part every year....It's the other stuff that gives me trouble

I ran a 5k at lunch, but that’s much different than sprints...

Wasn’t Reggie Redding the first guy bb cut because he failed the conditioning run?

If so, do we need to rename the conditioning run to the “Reggie run”?

Tomorrow all players will need to pass a conditioning run test in order to practice on Thursday.

If I remember correctly, it is:

3 sets of 10 40 yard sprints
Each sprint needs to be completed in 7 seconds or less
30 seconds of rest per sprint
3 minute rest between sets

The distances and reps may differ by position groupings...not sure.

How many will fail? Will any veteran all of sudden retire? We already lost Vedlheer (sp?)......

Interesting that the conditioning test is just the beginning to even get on the practice field. I think over the years that running "the hills" is what they dread most & that can occur @ any point including during the regular season.

Yeah, they should be in shape year around....but football players do get lazy between January - July...
