I think the Falcons, Broncos, and Packers are happy with thier new QBs, and would repeat the selection. Is it a reach if the teams would do it over again?

I think he takes too much **** because he is NOT the stereotype of the "Black athletic with the amazing escape skills and the rocket arm and running ability. It turns out that Sanders is a highly skilled scholar of the QB position who is more mind that body gifted. I see him being more in the vein of a Russell Wilson coming out than, say an Andrew Luck.

He is going to need to find the right spot for him to succeed. Since he isn't going to do anything spectacular right awa, It would be a shame if he's thought of as a failure if he's seen as less than an instant star. in a more normal year he'd be looked at as an end of the first earl second day pick. but with NIL money comes NIL expectations and he's getting crapped on every chance ESPN gets

I have been on the Graham bandwagon for awhile
But I now have Campbell in the same discussion
I love Simmons but his injury scares me.
No one knows if it is a ACL or Patella. If he isn’t coming out screaming ACL then it may be a Patella which is a concern
I like Campbell more than Banks. His run blocking is more violent than Banks

Edit: I also think we will get DL (lots of good options) in FA but OT are drying up in FA
So it may be Campbell

Sanders might get us Travis Hunter so I'd love him but he's pretty bad on tape.
Hunters receiving stats would be out of this world if Sanders could throw the ball or read the field. He would have led the country with at least 1600 yards receiving if he had a good QB throwing to him.
If Giants take him because they need a QB
Titans take Carter over Hunter because Hunter did not have all-time great receiving stats because of Sanders.

Stafford is staying in LA which is good for NE. I’ve been saying all along both QBs will be taken before NE picks, Hunter will be there at 4.

One less option for the QB needy teams that pick around us. Might not have any impact or could be the first domino that leads to Sanders going ahead of us and helping Carter or Hunter slide to us.

Trey smith is reported to being franchised by KC. Don’t think they have done it yet.

In 2015 the Commanders drafted Brandon Scherff with questions of if he was an OT or Guard. He ended up at guard and after his rookie year he went on to be a 5-time pro bowler in a 6 year span, with the one year he missed the pro bowl being a half season due to injury. If we draft Campbell and he's "only" a LG that makes 5 pro bowls in 7 years, then that's not exactly a disaster.

Great point. I think there is a very good chance that Campbell can be a plug and play LT for the next 10 years. His ceiling at LT is worth the pick and his floor is likely a dominating guard.

If he works out at LT we will have the benefit of 5 yrs under a rookie contract vs 20 plus million for a stop gap veteran like Stanley who may only have 2 good years left. Then what?

Franchise LTs go high in the draft. I for one am assuming that we won't be picking in the top 5 or top 10 for that matter for the foreseeable future.

Isn't it more likely that he's probably doing things to make the measurements in his favor? He's probably stretching it out to the max or whatever.

Bottom line is the data shows it's a concern but if he's the best tackle available then do you really want a lesser prospect just because of an inch.

I mean the motion in the ocean can overcome a little bit of size.

Overall this is a truism, such as this year’s QB class sucks in comparison to last year’s, or most years for that matter. However as far as Campbell goes he has been starting against the best pass rushers in the country since he started as a true freshman at 18 years old, and has essentially shut them down while dominating as a run blocker against the best defenses in college football. As with Mason Graham I think the ability to start every game as an 18 year old, and true freshman, and hold their own against the best players in college football, demonstrates that they will make the transition to the NFL easily.

One of Carter, Graham or Hunter will be there when we pick. Is ignoring the concerns with Campbell really worth passing one of those clearly better prospects up?

Because I would argue even if he had an inch and a half longer arms, I'd still take Graham who is the weakest of 3 over him.

We are already sort of reaching to justify the pick to begin with

Actually what I am saying is that Campbell’s skills at LT are excellent, and that 1/8 of an inch shouldn’t keep him from starting.

He is great against a bull rush, but not as much vs speed and lateral quickness

I personally think it is an athletic problem, a buddy of mine is a high level OL coach and told me that he has his more non athletic tackles line up wider than most OTs so that kind of filters the DE inside rather than trying to beat them around the edge.

Makes sense. I'd imagine he does the same with OTs who have a wingspan/reach problem. Which just so happens to describe Campbell. Coincidence?

Campbell is actually the player we were referring to, cuz I told him my hesitation about Campbell and is trouble with speed.
