lol sure… show me when Bourne, or Tee Higgins for that matter had 1333 yards receiving.

Godwin has continued producing even when Evans was hurt. He doesn’t rely on Evans to make plays.
Of course not.

Thats why Tampa is keeping Evans and Godwin is looking for work. GTFO

You completely made the bolded up. Pulled it straight out of thin air.

Last year Evans missed 3 games. Godwin was out for all 3 of them so no sample to assess.

In 2023 they both played all 17 games so no sample to assess.

In 2022 they both played 15 games each. Godwin missed games #2 and #3, Evans missed games #3 and #17. So #17 was the only game Godwin played without Evans and he had 6 catches for 55 yards.

In 2021 Evans played 16 games. The one game he missed was week 15 which Godwin also missed because he had a season ending injury in game #14.

In 2020 Evans played all 16 games (before switch to 17) so no sample to assess.

In 2019 Evans played 13 out of 16 games. He missed the last 3 games. Godwin only played one of those games and he had 6 catches for 49 yards.

In 2018 vans played all 16 games so no sample to assess.

In 2017 Evans played 15 out of 16 games. In the one he missed, Godwin had 5 catches for 68 yards.
You've convinced me to still want Higgins.

^ Full transparency, I messed up the 2019 game Godwin played without Evans. I had the wrong year of gamelogs pulled up on my screen for Godwin. In that game he had 5 catches for 121 yards, not 6 catches for 49 yards. So yes, he had one good statistical game in 3 tries without Evans in the lineup. It was 5 years ago and one torn ACL and one dislocated ankle ago.

He's still only played 3 games without Evans in his career and in 2 of them he was a sub 10 yards/catch. No touchdowns in any of the 3. I stand by it being a completely fabricated argument that he has any sort of real track record of producing without Evans.

No one is saying they wouldn't prefer Chase or Evans. But they're not available. So it's about finding the WRs who are available who are going to make our offense better.
The people like Higgins and Godwin are not the guys who come in and light it up.

Thats what this team needs. A true # 1 WR who draws coverage his direction. A matchup problem. The Pats have secondary WRs coming out of the woodwork. Spend money and get some kosher roast beef instead of plain old baloney.

There is no amount of money you can spend to get a Chase or Evans. So you can buy from what's available or you can keep going with either Polk or Boutte as your WR1.

Evans is under contract, Godwin isn't... makes sense.

So Godwin doesn't need Evans to produce, he needs what every other WR needs. Good blocking, good QB, good coaching.

What I liked about Vrabel that he's shown to either create or have his staff create a game plan that slowed down a high powered offense. The divisional game against the Ravens in 2019 season should be something you guys re-watch.

I agree. I think he has the kind of strategic ability Belichick had to take away a teams strengths and force them to find another way to beat you.
