Very concerned.
I’ll gladly take that. Season doesn’t start in over a month. Have him ready for Vegas.Definitely not the worst news, hopefully accurate. Give him more time than needed, still plenty of time till week 1.
I've had 2 really bad hammy strains. Never went to the Dr, so not sure what grade. First one playing football, it was bad enough that I had a football size bruise on my hammy from the internal bleeding. Was out about 3-4 weeks. Didn't aggravate it that year but I was cautious the first couple of weeks. 2nd one was about 6 weeks ago playing softball. Played yesterday for the first time since the injury, probably could have come back a couple weeks earlier. Ran the bases pretty hard with no ill effects, but it is a little tight today. Everyone is different, and he's a world class athlete with world class treatment, so I'm sure he will be alright. That said I would definitely err on the side of caution and take it really S..L...O..W! I would think maybe limited action in the last preseason game or week 1, no need to rush it.Grade 1 tear.... Good. All about rest and appropriate strengthening afterwards. Suffered a couple of grade 2s (one last year). I'm out of shape and mid forties. Bsck playing sports 5 weeks later. Just keep foam rolling and it's been perfect since.
For context
Just that one Boston fanThere's no credible reporting out there that this is a Grade One hamstring injury
