Grade 1 tear.... Good. All about rest and appropriate strengthening afterwards. Suffered a couple of grade 2s (one last year). I'm out of shape and mid forties. Bsck playing sports 5 weeks later. Just keep foam rolling and it's been perfect since.

For context

Definitely not the worst news, hopefully accurate. Give him more time than needed, still plenty of time till week 1.
I’ll gladly take that. Season doesn’t start in over a month. Have him ready for Vegas.

I've had 2 really bad hammy strains. Never went to the Dr, so not sure what grade. First one playing football, it was bad enough that I had a football size bruise on my hammy from the internal bleeding. Was out about 3-4 weeks. Didn't aggravate it that year but I was cautious the first couple of weeks. 2nd one was about 6 weeks ago playing softball. Played yesterday for the first time since the injury, probably could have come back a couple weeks earlier. Ran the bases pretty hard with no ill effects, but it is a little tight today. Everyone is different, and he's a world class athlete with world class treatment, so I'm sure he will be alright. That said I would definitely err on the side of caution and take it really S..L...O..W! I would think maybe limited action in the last preseason game or week 1, no need to rush it.

There's no credible reporting out there that this is a Grade One hamstring injury

This is great news. Our top two will be fine and ready for the season.
===========
In addition, it will spotlight the rest of the CB's that Vrabel has decided to depend on when the top 2 are out for any reason.

There is the always our healthy punt returner, starting nickel back and sometime player on Offense.
========
BOTTOM LINE
We have three starters with injury histories and three backups that some think that we can depend on.
==============
I repeat over and over again. I shouldn't worry. Almost the posters other than cap don't any weakness in our nickel or backup corners and have told this to us all last year and again this year.

TO BE MORE CLEAR
A couple of us have been screaming for another corner for at least a couple of years. It is NOT unusual for there to be one or even two corners not available. We need 5 that we can depend on, especially with Marcus Jones unlikely to be available for the wholes season if he is the starter.
