You’re making a fool of yourself here. Grabbing the wrong carry on bag is a stretch. Not realizing you grabbed the wrong carry on at any time between getting in the Uber and going through security would take a level of idiocy I just can’t lower myself to comprehend.
Contempt of court is justified here?

Shouldn't you be running off to walgreen to buy a few masks? Won't be long until those elected representatives have you wearing them again!
Not where I live.
Just a note, if you are in your car by yourself and wearing a mask you are missing the point and look kind of silly.
WTF are you talking about here? You’ve clearly gone off the deep end to compare having multiple firearms in an airport to…. <checks notes>…. Wearing masks.

Me: “What’s the point of us, as citizens, making these laws through our elected representatives if they aren’t enforced?”

Moosekill: “You, as citizens, didn't make those laws. Your elected representatives made those laws.”

It’s hilarious how you disagreed with me and then repeated - almost word for word - exactly what I said.

Nah, I will stay right here and tell it like it is.
Gotta be frustrating to see the homers continuing to have hope for the team despite your herculean efforts.

Well, there's always the GDT thread, which is certain to be full of moments of despair to savor.

Ian, can we have a Misinformation Board appointed to fact check overly optimistic posts? I'm sure Triumph and several others would be happy to help enforce realism here...

I loved Jacks run D during the preseason, guy was flying around everywhere but he never dialed it back in his pass defense. Hoping it was just preseason shenanigans and he develops into more of a patient technician. He’s too aggressive for my liking.

How do you legally bring a high capacity magazine into Mass and make it legal?

The gun in the luggage isn't a big deal.

The illegal magazine is.
I'll give you that.

dropping charges in instances like this really isn't unheard of.....

there's plenty more.....but i'm lazy......but some common sense application is becoming a little more common in these instances, it really isn't that unheard of; some people carry on the regular, and mistakes do happen......people forget they have a pocket knife, or mace on their keychain, and sometimes, that their gun is in the bag (the same bag they might bring to work or to the gym).......i don't get it, but it does happen.......and while we see headlines about the arrest, we rarely see the follow up.....and many of these cases are not prosecuted

just happy he'll be on the field

Let me assure you that lack of knowledge they were they is not a sound defense for 99% of the population.

I mean, what’s the point of even having the law on the books if all you have to do is claim “I didn’t know they were there” to get off?

perhaps it was investigated and determined, shockingly, that is was just an honest mistake?

I'll give you that [How do you legally bring a high capacity magazine into Mass and make it legal?].
Depends on how the statute is actually written, how it applies to the specifics of the instance, and the interpretation of any ambiguity by the DA and/or judge,

What do you think goes on here? 10 guys helped him pack a suitcase?
No, I think that people who travel all the time probably have several carry-on bags. When I was touring I had three.
There is nothing “easy” about sneaking 2 guns into someone’s carry on luggage without them knowing. 2 guns (plus the corresponding ammo) in a box are not lightweight features.
As in the example I gave, it would be extremely easy for an aggrieved partner to do it, particularly when people who travel all the time often have "pre-packed" bags.

No, I'm explaining reasonable doubt. You don't bring cases you can't win. Proving "intent" is hard, particularly when it's so obvious that the chances of getting through security were small.
A defense lawyer cooks up possible alternate reasons and juries buy them. Heck, i sat on a jury for a rapist who broke into and attacked a retired kindergarten teacher, then cooked up a "we were having an affair" story that had almost half the people on the jury speculating about the "wild lives of teachers."
He went to jail when several of us proved to the doubting jurors that he had lied about other things in his testimony.

Silvio Dante from, "The Sopranos" had a good one as he was being cuffed.

"I'll be back home before my soup is cold"
Lawyers are indeed the crook's best friend. They are generally far less beneficial to decent people. The number of lawyers in a society is in inverse proportion to the moral health of that society. The causality can run both ways, and typically does.

i don't get how people forget their kid is in the backseat of the car and bad things happen, either....

but at the same time, our daycare is on the same road as my school.....there's been several times where i drove past daycare and right into school, and had to turn around and head to daycare lol......

Lol I am just shocked to find out what side of the spectrum you fall on.

Media: “Jack Jones will most likely face jail time”.

Media: “Charges are dropped”.

I agree with this. Having said that, you’ll love the one you hire if you ever need one.

A me, I'm thrilled he's exonerated and hopefully available for every game (if Goodell doesn't overreach and penalize for a legal mistake).
He wasn't exonerated. 8 of the 9 charges were dropped.

Having only 20 lawyers allowed to defend the accused against political crimes has got to be a major reason why Iran can boast about its moral health.

Similarly, North Korea with its 500 lawyers is a paragon of virtue especially compared to that cesspool of South Korea with its 33,955!

I’m really happy it ended this way. Shocked, but happy. Hopefully he plays as well as he did last year, and forms a great CB duo with Gonzalez. And hopefully he keeps his nose clean.

The firearm toting non mask wearing faction. That has had covid, has kids in the military, and doesn't listen to Felgar every day, or visit the Chiefs board regularly.
