The fishy part of her story is the implication that he headbutted her in an attempt to hurt her, she got away, and then he drove around looking for her in an attempt to do her more harm.

Other theories about why he was looking for her (concern, desire to apologize, desire to keep yelling, whatever) are at least as plausible.

I also wouldn't be surprised if the headbutt were some kind of mutual accident.

The idea that she aggressively headbutted him is ridiculous, on logic and geometry alike.
