Central Thread For Mourning/Canonizing Jimmy Garoppolo

He's making those 'mistakes' because he's operating without (now that Marquise Godwin is out) not a single remotely NFL caliber offensive weapon.

No excuse, he threw the ball in outrageous traffic when a simple check off would have suffice. Also his throwing mechanic is bad and needs work. Not saying that he won't get better, but the jury is still off. Anyone Qb can have one good year, eventually coach will figure him and then we'll see if he is a one year wonder.

I wouldn't quite call George Kittle or Trent Taylor trash, but I'd definitely say that he has a 50%+ chance of working with the worst collection of skill players in the NFL.

His throwing mechanic isn't the problem. It's his footwork.

That said, the problem with trying to "figure him out" is that he can complete passes even when the defenders near his target know where he's going.

He's the dog

and im looking for a bone

The Jimmy pick is down to a coin flip, it will either be 41 or 43, meaning that the Pat's got a better pick for Cassel.

Oh my, what that poster wrote was the biggest trolling speculation I’ve read here. He’s on the level of the mediots who equated deflategate to cheating just because some guy use the bathroom. I have a feeling these JG fans actually want our team to lose just so they can prove their stupid point.
Sounds like he listens to Felger and squeaky, that's sounds like something they'd make up to get listeners riled up.

They should have made it so the pick became a 1st round pick if it fell out the the top 10. This was not a good trade by Belichick.

We have lost draft picks and yet we're still in the hunt year after year.
Always nice to slam dunk a trade but it's not the end of the world either - draft is but 1/3 of the player acquisition process.

Brady allows for us to get away with these moves. We have the best player ever, playing the most important position in pro sports. If we didn’t have that we would all feel things. It’s not just Garoppolo - Chandler Jones finished the year with 17 sacks and 11 run stuffs.

Why? So you can feel better about yourself? 49ers are picking top 10 so wouldn't have mattered

Who gives a ****. Pats won a SB with the players they got with the pick they got for him. Pats got 17 sacks this season from the combination of Wise, Lee, M. Flowers, Butler and Harrison at a fraction of the cost.

Great stats for the 8-8 Cardinals - where did all those sacks get them?
We all would have liked to receive more for Jimmy - but the reality was we played that hand as far as possible.
Belichick needed the cap money for other areas of building the team.
$45 million in cap money to carry both in 2018 - $21 million total dead cap for 2 years to trade Brady.
So easy to pontificate without speaking factually - no fact more important than the cap and this team needs pieces moving forwards.

man....this dude is the bomb.......wicked pissah!!!.......off the chain!!!!!

how many QBs have started out 7-0 in their careers?.....big ben....thats one....who else

Brady 11-3 in his 1st year playing with a Super Bowl ring.

How many QB's have done that?

For the record Big Ben gagged when he had the chance.
3 picks and a fumble as he lost to Brady 41-27.

ivan....my friend

i am a patriot fan......love BB

also a brady fan

TB12 is the only sports jersey i own

As I said I’m not buying it, your a Garrapolo fan trolling this board, not a Patriot fan who worships Garrapolo. Enjoy rooting for SF, Quantum could use the company.

look at my beautiful brady jersey

i'm pretty cute, too

He played great again today. The second int looked like receiver ran wrong route, or was held. Kind of awkward route run at the end of it. But he marched them down the field all day. I am happy for him. Might as well wish him luck and cheer him on as an ex-pat. Maybe someday down the road if things were to work out after Brady's gone we could resign him... Who knows.

on a serious note

he made some mistakes and errant throws today.......as he had in previous games

but as with any guy with less than 10 starts........and in a completely new offensive system.........its not the mistakes that you dwell on

its the way he makes several very impressive plays every game.....the way he is so poised and composed and confident.......the quickness with which he sees the field and delivers the ball

dude is a franchise QB......romo at the least.....main thing is that he improves and attenuates the mistakes

will he ever be anything close to brady?......probably not....but it will be fun to follow
