Look.. we know the Cs are good. They aren't invincible. The last championship was 16 years ago. Temper your over confidence a bit. Let's hope they win like they are favored too. Oh I saw the the joke LOL. Some Homer's can't get over themselves. It's like it's illegal to give praise to the other team.

What's there to praise? The Pacers scraped past a Giannis-less Bucks and barely survived the Knicks, who were down 4 starters and lost Brunson in game 7. The only thing that should offer the Celtics a headache is if Haliburton plays out of his skin this series. Outside of him, they have one young, legitimate budding talent and they rarely play Walker.

Nembhard, Nesmith, Siakam and Turner don't scare me. McConnell is streaky and a great bench piece, but the same goes for Sheppard, Toppin, Jackson and McDermott. They don't intimidate anyone. How anyone can look at this rag tag poor rebounding, rubbish defence team and see them as a serious threat to Boston, is beyond me.

If you slow down Indy's transition offence, they're done. It's that straightforward.

Should Boston play to its capability and not fall into the trap they so often do, playing down to their competition, this series shouldn't be close.

You can acknowledge the nature of competition while seeing Boston as the superior team.

Therein lies the beauty of playing high caliber defence; instilling your will on an offensive team. I believe the Celtics have the pieces to do that to Indiana.

You mentioned the Knicks and Bucks because you are constantly looking back. That is also why you mentioned that the Celtics last won a championship 16 years ago. Because you live in the past. All your posts are about looking backwards, not looking forwards. Thank God Brad Stevens is our GM as he looks forward and solves problems.

Brad Stevens does not care about players like McDaniels who averaged 11 points, and 2 assists in the Nuggets series, but you have mentioned McDaniels about 15 times over the last week. Have you watched McDaniels? He has string been legs and is a backup, but you tell us about once a day to trade for him.

I think one thing everyone can agree on is that both Boston and Indy are about to face their biggest challenge in the playoffs so far.

Here's the problem that I haven't heard many talk about. Horford has to be tired. He's had to carry the load with KP out. So now he has to try to keep up with a young running team with high energy big men. What toll will that take, especially if Minnesota comes out of the west, with all the size they have?

So could the Celtics rest KP for a big chunk of the Indy series and get away with it? Probably, but you're likely going to run Horford into the ground doing this. From what I've seen of Minnesota, all hands will be needed on deck to compete with those bigs. A gassed Horford and a 75% KP could lead to a serious issue down the stretch.

I still believe in this team, and that they can win it all. But health matters as nearly all the fallen teams can attest to. Minnesota and Indy both have it. It's going to be a gauntlet to get #18.

That's fair. I have no problem with this. The point I'm making is no matter how a team gets deep in the playoffs the point is they are. There.

The Celtics should be undefeated in the post season. They have been a excellent home team all season and those let ups shouldn't happen on the garden floor. So of course C's are the better team. But just don't get so overconfident that people think they are just going to roll indy.. don't forget KP is out and who knows when he will return. Nonetheless the true test awaits the Cs that will be in the NBA finals against the wolves.

The team has been knocking on the door each year at some point they have to get it done.

How do you know that? Your post tend to be very hard to understand sometimes. Like you know better than anyone. Are you part of the organization? Are you a team executive? You don't know more than anyone else here posting. I speak on my opinions and what I believe my team needs. I don't pretend to know everything we have opinions right?

Brad Stevens will do what a good Good GM does and continues to look for ways to always upgrade at certain positions. Who wouldn't want an all NBA first team defender in McDaniels. Who gives a F if I mention the past . Obviously if I mentioned it , it's for good reason. Lastly what are you talking about Jaden McDaniels is a starter for the wolves. Do you watch the NBA or you just watch the celtics? You continue to down other teams and propel the Cs like they have won recently. What will you post if they loose this year?

He averaged 32mpg vs CLE and had a week to rest. His minutes have been managed well all year. I think he'll be fine...but as the series goes on that's something to watch.

Keys vs Indy is to get back on D in transition and try to be a bit better on the offensive glass (which is very possible as Indy is a below average rebounding team). With that said both Kornet and Queta led the team in ORBs per 36min and 100 possessions.

Without knowing what it's like to be an aging pro athlete, I will say the Celtics have been going deep into the playoffs for 6 years, adding a significant total number of games played to Horford's portfolio. He's been great but I just don't know if we can continue to hang our hat on this. Bam had some pretty good games in Round 1 before things fell apart for Miami. I feel like defending high energy big men is a weakness for the Celtics that Indy and MN can exploit.

Most important thing is make sure he's healed.
They need him for the Finals.
They don't need him to beat Indy.
If he's not close to 100%, I don't wanna see him in this series.
Worst case is C's bring him back vs. Indy, he reinjures it and is out for the Finals.
That would a disaster. It won't take more than a game for him to knock the rust off.
That's not a big deal. Missing the Finals is.

I think Horford will be ok. He's only played two games in the last 10 days, reasonable minutes both games. They'll rely on him as needed to get past Indiana, and then by the finals he'll revert back to his usual use with Porzingis back (and if Porzingis isn't back they're not winning anyway)
