Cassius Marsh still complaining about his time in New England

2. On Parcells
His worst trait was that he quit on teams for whatever reason. He’s not very reliable.

However, you’re forgetting he did make a terrible Cowboys team into a contender. He then left one year early and probably would’ve kept them in check on a collision course with the undefeated Pats. Talk about must see Tv.

Parcells DOESN'T get to his superbowl here without the guy HE didn't want. (BTW-anyone remember who he reportedly did want)
I’ve heard Cedric Jones and Tony Brackens. Jones was a massive bust while Brackens was a beast.

But yeah, they don’t make to the Super Bowl without the playmaker Glenn was. He was electric when he had his head in the game but had no idea he was a troubled guy. Nagging injuries didn’t help.

Jones was the guy I remember being the pick, but if it was Brackens Parcells doesn't come off looking like an utter idiot. I wonder if there was a more definitive report, say from Will MicDonough at the time on which was Parcell's target?

The fact is that the Tuna left because he wanted to pick the groceries. However in his 3 stops after he left here when he WAS in control of personnel, he FAILED in each stop (Jets, Dallas, and Miami). The other telling item is that at each of those stops, just when it was becoming apparent WHY Kraft never game him that job, he BAILED on the team (and yes it turned out that Greer tuned out to be a failure too, doesn't change the FACT than everywhere where Parcells "picked the groceries" he failed

I listen to Felger and Mazz for the he entertainment value. Say what you want about them but they're definitely entertaining. They pretty much admit most of the crap they come up with is take making for the sake of take making.

Yep. Their #1 job is to entertain and rile up the natives to the point of a) having them listen b) drive advertising revenue.

I just can't stand the constant negativity and complaining. I'm ok with the occasional thought-provoking, contrarian viewpoint but Christ, those two take it to a different level.

At least here I can bypass it if I want

The one I can't stand is Adam Jones. At least Felger and Mazz can be funny with some of their rants on bat speed and spin rate and some of the other nonsense they work themselves up about but Adam Jones is just a one trick pony. A contrarian for contrarian's sake and all the same negativity without being funny.

Bill Parcells never did anything without Bill Belichick on his staff. When you take Belichick away, what you have is a coach who made a career of taking over atrocious teams and then having the media kiss his arse for going 10-6.

I hate that little shrimp.

Can't think of a Pats player I disliked more than him. Every thing about him seemed fake and he was beyond terrible.

Yep...Still can't fathom why Bill threw away TWO ****ing draft picks for this ****ing jagoff...

Epic first name on such an irrelevant player.

At least Sanu not crying like Marsh.

this commie pinko libtard softie has some sympathy for that kid. Early on I was at Smithfield training camp. Afterwards some of us and LOTS of Patriot players would boogie over to Parrentes Restaurant nearby. Players would congregate in groups, Drew with Max "Express" Lane and his OL buddies, for example. Glenn sat alone way in the back with no other players nearby. He looked sad. It was not out of diva superiority. Kid needed counseling. Some are not mentally fit for our initially chosen professions no matter how much physical talent.

My memory of Glenn at Smithfield was being at the mesh construction fence when Glenn walked by. It was when he had his hamstring injury, so he was in shorts and a t-shirt and it struck me how much like an ordinary guy he looked. He was about my height and not all jacked up. Granted, if you put him on the field and saw him run and catch, you would see the talent and ability that made him a first round pick and a starter in the NFL. Standing around in "civilian" clothes, it wasn't quite as obvious.

Agree.

My take is he's a laid back guy who is accustomed to being part of teams that were also lax and allowed him certain freedoms.

Gronk was the same way but he obviously did a much better job of compartmentalizing his work/life, blessed with a strong work ethic, wanted to succeed and win badly and respected authority. That's why he lasted here as long as he did.

He'll never admit it but I think Marsh's ego is seriously bruised as it will go on record he could not cut playing for the standard of how excellence in measured in pro football.

He failed here and his career has been undistinguished.

That sounds pretty much spot on. Marsh was traded here, so it's not like he had much say in becoming a member of the Patriots. If he joined the team as a free agent, people would say "You had to have an idea that the team wasn't a country club. Why did you even sign there?" I do wonder why Marsh doesn't direct any vitriol towards Seattle for sending him to New England in the first place.

He's one of the reasons that the Seahags have won only one SB, even with Russell Wilson: They're too undisciplined playing under Mr Pumped N Jacked, and that leads to carelessness, abandoning responsibilities, & mistakes.
