Cassius Marsh still complaining about his time in New England

Well he didn’t impact the Defense the way he was touted to.
He was one of the highest priced free agents Bill has ever signed.
Ray Lewis said as soon as he was signed that boy doesn’t like to work now that he got his money he will take it easy.
There were all kind of reports that he wasn’t putting in the work in the gym as well as in the playbook. He was just ok, vs what the hype was surrounding him.
Roosevelt Colvin was a much better signing before him and yes he was also injured but he played hard worked hard and embodied the Patriot way a lot better than AT.

In 2007 AD was forced to play MLB b/c Bru started the season injured. That fact that he was able to do that well is incredible. Once Bru got settled he was moved to his natural OLB/EDGE role which he did totally fine. All in all he was worth every penny in 07 as it was excellent. As the previous poster stated his 2008 was shortened by injury and he fell off a cliff in 2009.

I do think he got frustrated here with the demands on him and also the decline in his ability.

Net-net AD was an overpay but not a complete bust.

Pats def realized more value over the contract term from Colvin even though he went on IR a couple of times.

Terry Glenn ?
this commie pinko libtard softie has some sympathy for that kid. Early on I was at Smithfield training camp. Afterwards some of us and LOTS of Patriot players would boogie over to Parrentes Restaurant nearby. Players would congregate in groups, Drew with Max "Express" Lane and his OL buddies, for example. Glenn sat alone way in the back with no other players nearby. He looked sad. It was not out of diva superiority. Kid needed counseling. Some are not mentally fit for our initially chosen professions no matter how much physical talent.

That is a good one. He was definitely a pain in the ass and a malcontent. Between his strip club drug bust in Canada and his rumored domestic assault as well as the fines and suspensions he really could have became a major distraction had Bill not sent him out on an iceberg in 2001. He definitely had his issues which ultimately ended up killing him.

"...and has even called himself one of the most-hated former Patriots of all time."

Don't flatter yourself, dude.

No one other than Patriot geeks like us has ever even heard of you.

I remember the 31-0 debacle in Buffalo was a bash Bill fest all day on the broadcast. We all know "they hate their coach". I remember even Sam Gash saying a lot of the things that Marsh is saying now. Really weird, not sure what was up with that.

Rome is burning. Even since Brady left the cracks in the dam cannot stay plugged...
What? I legit had not heard of this guy. I am not interested in listening to some crybaby nobody fuss that he couldn't hack in in Foxboro.

People loved Cassius when we signed him lol. I remember these boards

yet Asante Samuel won two super bowls, led the Nfl in picks 2x, and was a 3x pro bowler during his tenure here and people hate on him lol

Gee I wonder why?

I suggest you rewatch the 2007 season again because you’re way off base here. Especially with your first sentence. The biggest weakness in the 2006 season was defending the TE which reared its ugly head in the 2006 AFCCG against the Colts.

Thomas was signed to eliminate that glaring weakness and he absolutely erased the elite TE’s. In fact, Colvin’s injury was highly underrated as AT now had to rush the passer (which he did a great job at) but now the middle of the field was a weakness again. While AT was a terror in the Super Bowl, their lack of coverage came back to haunt them again where Kevin Boss rumbled for a massive catch and run setting up a TD going up 10-7 in the 2nd half.

In regards to Ray Lewis’s comments, AT was 30 to 31 years old when he was a free agent so it would be selfish to say for him not to take advantage of his only chance to make his money. He was just bitter AT abandoned him for a real contender.

The only thing that Colvin had on AT was that he was younger when he signed. Both only had two good seasons before hitting their big payday. Colvin was a rusher only. AT could do both.

The only thing that was disappointing was the way that it ended.

I guess Joe Judge was on a podcast and talked about last time the “no fun in New England” crap came up back in 2017. I guess there was a grease board by one of the meeting rooms with nothing on it and Julian Edelman wrote “winning is fun” and they left it up there for everyone.

Bruschi wasn’t injured. AT was brought in to play everywhere but mostly to erase TE’s (see above). He played the middle so Vrabel and Colvin could be on the outside.

He only moved to the outside when Colvin got injured.

Jesus was I off..

Ah yea maybe Bru came out on passing downs. My bad. Too long ago...

Yep Colvin went down I think vs Philly. Prob wrong on that one too lol

Who? That is all.

Except for his fragility no issues with 1996-2000 Terry Glenn but 2001 TG was a total, self-centered, idiot diva.
Terry Glenn ?

His last three years was a mess, at least off the field.

In 1999 he missed the second to last game due to "illness" and then was suspended by the team the last game. In November that year, he showed up 3 hours late for practice and was cited by the police for speeding. He was also accused that year for "inappropriate touching" of a woman at a night club.

In 2000, he tested positive for drugs and was involved in that Ty Law sneaking drugs back from Canada scandal.

in 2001 he was a complete and utter nightmare:
  • May he was charged with domestic abuse
  • He had to leave minicamp for personal issues
  • He left training camp without permission which required the team to threaten to suspend
  • He was suspended for the first four games for violating the substance abuse policy
  • When he came back from suspension he acted like a diva
  • Hours before a home game, he got in a fight with the coaching staff and left the stadium.
  • He went on TV that night and trashed the team (I did. D-I-D. Did)
