Jimmy has a no trade clause, which could complicate things. However, Jimmy may cooperate if Texans take on his contract as he'll make considerably less if he is cut.IF Dak does not get tagged, things are looking good for us...SF could potentially sign him but it'd be more difficult for them. I think SF trades Jimmy for Watson ultimately.
Because he's not worth it. He messed up playing hardball with the Cowboys thinking he should be one of the highest paid QB's and now he's damaged goods. Cowboys have a ton of leverage now and really should kick him to the curb as Dak couldn't win with the talent they have.loo why wouldn’t Dal be tagged or resigned
Yes, and that became popular when Jimmy Johnson updated the draft value chart. Johnson added the recommendation that future picks be down-valued, vs. a current year pick, by that amount (a round for each year you'd have to wait). The logic comes from teams constantly trading next year's first for a second this year.
I have never understood this logic, probably because it eminates from teams making stupid picks.
A first is a first. If it’s next year you get him one year later but keep him one year longer. It has the exact same value as a first this year.
I’m thinking he’ll waive the no trade in order to avoid getting cut.Jimmy has a no trade clause, which could complicate things. However, Jimmy may cooperate if Texans take on his contract as he'll make considerably less if he is cut.

Jerry should do everything he can to get Watson.

lol? represent that how, as the team most likely to have over paid for a journeyman qb?We saw this one coming a mile away. Colts should now be favored to represent the AFC in the SB next season. Place your bets now.
Right? I am of the opinion that the "bad guy" stories that are following him must have some teeth to them.So with the modest price. Must show you why the Patriots didn't put in an offer
They must have no faith the guy can be a competent QB
Wentz will be fine. That team is ready to win now. Just needed to replace the QB. Chefs and Bills are beatable. Reich will rejuvenate Wentz. He just needed the proper coaching and a fresh start. Also not to have too much FUN....lol? represent that how, as the team most likely to have over paid for a journeyman qb?
i have not seen a team get fleeced this bad since the colts sent a #1 for trent richardson
But it isn’t. There is no value depreciation of having a player from 2021-2026 vs 2022-2027. The value is a season doesn’t have inflation.Time value of money, Yo!
A 1st today is worth more than a 1st next year.
Well it doesn’t happen constantly and a bad trade doesn’t disprove a fact. The logic comes from teams constantly trading next year's first for a second this year.
No it isn’t.Because it is the same logic as money. Money now is more valuable than the same money in a year because you can actually use it. That's why the cashflow of contracts -- which is different than the structure in terms of the salary cap -- is often slanted towards the majority of the money being paid out as early as possible.
Draft picks are not much different. Having access to a first round pick this year is generally better than next year because who knows if you still have that job by then.
