This is shocking to say the least. I don’t think I’ve ever been more shocked by a cut, ever. I’m a huge Mac Jones fan, but I didn’t see this coming. Unbelievable. Hoyer survives again lol.

Not sure why. Starting after 4 games was dumb and was never going to happen. Mac was better than Cam this year and was the future going forward.

I'm shocked. Not because I wanted him to be the starter (**** that), but because I figured he would at least be kept as a backup. He's been a good teammate, and I would have expected him to be willing to take a demotion.

At the end of the day though, we get to see Mac from week 1 and I love that. I genuinely wish the best for Cam moving forward and hope he revives his career elsewhere (but if he goes to an AFC team I hope he stays the same).

Ahh Haa, i put cam down as the surprise cut in the who do you think will be a surprise cut thread. This goes to show that a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while. I'm glad he was cut before the start of the season,he wouldnt have handled being a back up well. Lots of drama

Everything just looked so labored with Cam. It looked like he was trying to throw a bowling ball on those out routes. I think his body is toast at this point. He has a solid career with some very high highs and some very low lows but I think he has a ton of post playing career options.

I thought there would be some value in not having Mac play a 17 game season before he's had much time in a pro conditioning program, but beyond that, this was the right decision. Very curious to see if Hoyer remains the #2, or they have another plan in place.

Cam, I wasn't as down on you as many here (and definitely not as high as your alt accounts on here were...). You had an unenviable position of being the first guy after the GOAT, and you handled it with class. Thank you, and good luck!
