By the numbers: Patricia's offense downright offensive

Our QB and O-line have regressed so much since last year. Depth was always a concern along the OL, but I thought they would at least be a solid unit like last year. Now they're a complete mess.

And Mac needed to make that 2nd year leap for the this team to move up. Instead, he's taken a step back.

I'm not usually not critical of BB, but how have these hires been anything but a failure so far? It's the common denominator with this offense. This isn't a less talented offense than last year's offense, yet they look far worse.

Whelp, it's not good fellas. I'm almost done with Matty P and Mac. I let Bill decide which one if not both. I'll give them the benefit of the next few weeks to save the season. Not like we have much choice I suppose we might want to see Zappe one more time just for evaluation reasons but let's see where things go and if anything can be salvaged.

Patricia's playcalling is depressingly incompetent. He does understand that the defense has to believe you would run the ball in that situation for a playaction to work, right? I mean, that's strategy 101.....riiiiiiiiight?

The players are beginning to revolt. According to one report, Bourne let it slip postgame that opposing defense down-and-distance tendencies aren't even part of the game plan.

The season has been done since September, bro. It was clear then that this isn’t a Super Bowl caliber team. And frankly, salvaging the season to being a couple games above .500 isn’t going to do anything

The most difficult part of this current offensive scheme debacle is going to be more or less starting over. Unless they can figure out how to make it work we’ll lose next year too as they install something and someone else. Three offenses in three years for a young QB, total disaster in the making.

Does every thread have to turn into a Mac Jones bashing thread? We get it you want zappe. Now moving on.

This is about Patricia and his offense. Before the season many questioned not bringing in a real OC and instead bringing in Patricia and Judge. And having the fewest coaches of any team. Patricia has no idea what to call. It's like he's using "ask Madden"

Perfect example is we gain 20 yards running up the middle. Then Patricia decides to call a sweep. Gets blown up now it's 2nd and 14. Run for no gain on 2nd now the drive is dead....he has no feel for the game.

Now the results are as expected. Coaches have no idea what to do/call and the offense is garbage. Hopefully we can hire a real OC like Reich or bill O'Brien in the off-season

Hmm either makes sense. Apparently Patricias game plan was to throw the ball behind the line of scrimmage and let defenders miss...

That didn't work so well so Patricia stuck with it.

Patricia also seems to have an incredibly thin skin and he holds grudges. This is not what you want in an OC.

How anyone can judge what a QB is doing with this level of incompetence is beyond me.

Something has got to change, the players are starting to revolt. If Mac is getting this angry, you know that he is not alone. The whispers during training camp are now screams of outrage. Pleas get someone else to call plays, MP cannot react to game conditions.
