When is the tender deadline?

Right up to the start of FA, isn't it?
I don't know. As Miguel said there is no advantage to tendering early, nor late.
I think its just a coincidence and means nothing, because whether or not they tender him has no impact on negotiations, and of course they aren't going to non-tender him.

Right, if they're going to tender anyway, early or late makes no difference, but if htey announce a tender, and it's signed, can they still negotiate and change their mind on the tender before the open season begins?

In other words, wouldn't announcing a tender ensure that Butler could get some other offers?

Surprised a lot of you guys think there's a chance Harmon is back. I think he's near guaranteed to leave for more playing time and more money.

Pats fans vs media on this one. Heard Curran on EEI say Harmon was the FA he most expected back. Heard similar things from other media sources (don't have any links, sorry). On here, ppl seem convinced he is moving on. But who really knows how many other teams view him as very valuable ? And who knows how valuable BB deems him to be.

He does get quite a few snaps. If he can make good money here (comparable to elsewhere) would he rather get all snaps in Cleveland or 2/3 here ? I know where I'd lean, but some of these athletes have enormous egos & feel they prefer getting a few extra bucks & playing time over winning.

I think Harmon is valued & valuable. I don't think he is seen as "a part timer" in NE according to the people that make decisions.

He may indeed leave. I am just hoping that is not the case. I like him a great deal. And - he won't be free - but I don't think teams are lining up w wads of cash for him.

Normally, I'd agree with you Froob, but Harmon plays a decent amount in that popular big nickel package, and I think he may be seen as a key piece moving forward. He should be relatively affordable if they want him, and although they aren't playing the same position, Chung took a step back this year in my eyes.

That all said, you're probably right that they may simply try and draft Harmon's hopeful replacement via the draft. We will see.

King was not tendered. I presume that means that he will sign a contract before 4PM or be tendered before 4PM. He is an ERFA.

Hopefully, Branch will be signed also.

Kinda weird if they don't tender Brandon King. He continued to be an excellent gunner for the Pats allowing Slater to work off the line at times..

They have something a bit better for him in store, don't worry.

Howe thinks all the big names want to stay if the money is comparable....

Vernon Davis just sign for 5 million a year, so Bennett at 9million would seem reasonable or even maybe even cheap in comparison.

I think with the hugs jump in salary cap money, guys like Pierre Garçon getting 15 million a year, I don't think you can compare deals signed year ago are now obsolete (in terms of dollars).

Branch's gonna be 33. Let's not forget about that. How much can we pay him.

Wilfork was the same age when he signed a 2-year deal with the Texans, so he's got at least that long.

Big vince was already done. I don't know much branch has left. He did play well this past season.

Would love to hear something on hightower already.

Got our blocking tight end back, if he's healthy.

Totally makes sense.
Everyone of those guys was very happy here.
The question is how many nickels they will sacrifice to stay.
