and then beat goober in his new mile-high digs.
I used to call him goober too. No more. He is not only a not-goober, he has proven himself to be worthy of the Mount Rushmore of the NF of effing L. He has made it across a bed of hot coals and has forged a cast iron will to win. If Tom doesn't have his best game against "goober" then the defense could have a tough night in the altitude during a fourth quarter comeback.

Is it just me, or would it actually be kind of cool to see Brady and Manning reenacting the drama of the two thousandsies one more time?

Would love to see Denver to handle their business... and us too, of course... and then beat goober in his new mile-high digs.

I'd much rather watch the fivehead implode in another wild card game.

I think the last game vs Miami showed that an attacking D is better than the "prevent" D. Let's hope Patricia and BB saw the light.

He's had yet another stellar regular season, I'll go that far for now. Playoffs are another matter altogether. Brady and Manning both have a chance to get that big game quarterback groove back...though Manning never had much of one in his career anyway.

The odds are stacked against the Broncos to win it all. I went back 15 years and the only team that had a 10 game or more winning streak going into the play-offs and come away with the Lombardi was the 2003 Patriots, and almost all of the eventual champs had a loss in the final month of the season. The NFL is simply too good for teams to go on 3 month runs and win it all. it is possible, but the odds are definitely against them.

The difference in our last game was turnovers. Mcgahee was an issue losing 4 fumbles in 4 games straight. It's hard to win any game with 3 turnovers especially against you guys. I notice alot of fans here say the score was 31-7 at one point....yeah but it ended 31-21 which obviously points to the 2 turnover differential. IMO if we meet again, it'll comedown to the turnover battle. This isn't to take anything away from your win.You guys got an opportunistic D with a dominating O but I think we match up better than some think. It's amazing how far we've come in 2 years since your OC completely demolished our team...don't like him very much lol. Anyways here's to no injuries and maybe we'll see each other soon, Cheers!

Oh I'm not impugning the quality of his play -- and coming back after an injury where the media were asking if his whole career was done? I don't mind saying he's now Peyton F Manning, like Tom is TFB, satisfied?

We're watching a special era in NFL quarterbacking... and I'd like to see at least this one more hurrah. Also - he does way better commercials. "Call Papa Bear. Hut." That one cracks me up every time.

I just like calling him Goober.

I'd like to see him come back like that giant bug at the end of Men In Black that you think is dead, but rears up one more time and you have to blast him into green slime one more time at the end. Or like some less sci-fi villain you've stabbed etc. who you also have to drown in the toilet tank. Like that.

Nothing personal about 2006 or anything...

Yep, I'm sure most Bronco fans would want Cutler back................

Without McDaniels, the Broncos would never have gotten Manning. He's the man who got you your O-line and WRs. Even if you, foolishly, berate McDaniels over player acquisition, you owe him undying love for getting rid of Cutler and Marshall.

Frankly, Denver should erect a statue of McDaniels, with a fawning apology as part of the inscription.

Patriots are a different team too - last tme, no aaron hernandez. Plus we now we have talib and dennard, who might not be darelle revis, but much better than sterling moore and arrington.

In my opinion, it really came down to the Pats taking the foot off the gas in the second half. The Pats dominated the first three quarters and then let the Broncos come back. The game really wasn't as close as the score indicated.

I think any fans from either camp that aren't wary about this potential game match up are a little delusional.

It worked out in the end but I honestly thought that trade for Orton was an April Fools Joke and to think he wanted Cassel...smh. He wasted 2 first round draft picks on Tebow and Moreno, need I say more?

And Demaryius Thomas fumbled on the first series, which changed the momentum of the game. Bottom line is, what happened earlier this year has no bearing on what will happen in Denver, other than a possible glimpse into the matchups.

I will say that it seems Denver's defense does not seem to match up well with the Patriots. Three consecutive games where the Pats offense completely buried the Broncos defense in the first half, putting the games out of reach. I realize that the offense has improved significantly, and the defense has improved as well, but I do wonder if Denver does not match up well with tight ends and slot receivers... it certainly wouldn't be the first time where a defense is fantastic but cannot do anything right against the Patriots (we saw it for years with Pittsburgh.)

On the other hand, it looks like Denver really does have a true homefield advantage in that altitude, as most of the games I've seen this year have shown a different second half team that simply steps on the neck of opponents.

The Patriots have beaten Manning on the road just once, albeit they only had like three tries, since 2004. I just don't see the Pats walking into Denver and beating the Broncos soundly... if anything, they'll need to build up a lead into the 4th and pray that the inevitable comeback falls just short. It has been a staple of the Patriots over the last 3-4 years to play very poorly on the road in crunch time, and Denver seems to hit their stride in the second half.

If I were a betting man, I'd probably pick the Broncos if this scenario happens, but I couldn't put the spread at more than 2 points, and I wouldn't be surprised in any bit if the Pats were able to pull it off, simply because their offense is more explosive, better in the red zone, and more likely to control the clock.

Whats with all the Broncos fans? The wild card games havent even been played yet. This board is going to be unbearable if these guys are going to be hanging around trash talking for the next 3 weeks.

Huh, I thought Moreno had been playing well during this stretch run?

Come on now,you know the minute Tebow threw that TD pass in the playoffs against the Steelers in overtime, you were in love with the guy and thought he was going to take you to a miracle Super Bowl that year.

I'll bet all you Broncos fans took the Tebow kneel after the game was over.
