Brandon Aiyuk again?

Speed kills, and Golden is closer to Deion Branch than a Tyquan Thornton.
Giving Maye too speedy wrs who know each other to make the transition easier will give us what the Dolphins have with Waddle and Hill.
Only Maybe can put the ball wherever he wants however he wants.

So you are telling be that Golden who never broke 1000 yards in a season is like Deion Branch who had 1,016 yards in 2000 and 1,188 yards in 2001? Branch was a beast at Louisville. That is just not Matthew Golden. He has yet to put up a consistent, great season. There is just so much wrong with your reply. It makes no difference at all if two WR know each other. They would be in a totally foreign EP System that they have never seen before. Neither Golden or Bond are anything like Waddle or Hill. Waddle was the 6th overall pick and worthy of it. Hill was the #165 pick in 2017. It was pure luck that he turned out to be what he is. It is a total pipe dream and not realistic to think Golden and Bond are anything near Waddle and Hill.

Oh heck no. You can't just have a team filled with slot receivers. You don't sign Godwin and Slayton and have Pop, Polk and Bourne. Godwin is 28. He is not signing for just two years. This is his last big paycheck and it will need to be as big as possible for him. It makes no difference what "you" would sign him for. He is not coming here for just two years. Its a minimum of 3 with an option for 4.

Godwin is a slot. Aiyuk is a X. Aiyuk is actually the perfect match for Godwin or Slayton. Aiyuk would draw attention outside opening the middle of the field. That would leave Bourne and Boutte at the Z. You have room for only 1 or two more. Polk isn't getting cut as a 2nd round pick until next year. Baker is the odd man out. Bourne could be traded if Polk or Baker show progress under Josh.

Most fans think that signing a popular name fixes our WR woes without ever paying attention to the actual position the WR plays on the field. It just does not work that way.
Godwin is a 6'1 210 pound WR who runs a 4.4 forty and he's a slot... but Aiyuk is a 6 foot WR who runs a 4.5 and he's an X?

Sounds legit...

Jokes are only funny when people know what you're talking about.

Bourne is under contract and is relatively cheap.

LOL. That was my point. You have no idea what a X,Y, Z, or Slot receiver is. We can't have a team full of the same position like you want. You don't pay big money to free Agent WR who all play the same position. No kidding Bourne is under contract. I said nothing about his contract.

That is why I said "pay Bourne"

Get it? Never mind.

I'd do a third. I wouldn't overreact to one season. Not concerned about the ACL.

Any WR can play in the slot, any WR can play out on the boundary... it doesn't make them strictly a slot WR or an X.

Godwin can play anywhere.

He will get some money, but you won't have to commit to him longterm or trade a pick to get him. That's a good deal.

Sign Godwin, sign Darius Slayton for good measure... increase the talent and speed in the WR room.

The Pats have a fleet of guys who are all the same.

There is no 6' - 3" match up WR to scheme against shorter DBs. No WR who is a burner that beats coverage and has hands like glue.

Yes, it is legit. You don't have a clue what you are talking about, yet again. They have totally different skill sets and play totally different positions on the field. Height makes no difference. Ja'marr Chase is an outside X receiver who is 6ft tall and Tee Higgins is 6'4" and also an outside X receiver. They have a similar skill set as Aiyuk.

Godwin is an inside slot receiver. He is a very different skills set. The Giants used Slayton in the same inside slot.

X Receiver - plays on the outside
Z Receiver - plays the move off of the LOS
Slot Receiver - Plays from inside the slot.
Y Reciever - Tight End.

Because he's going miss all of TC and probably PUP The First Four weeks... nothing but a Fourth Rounder.

Oh yes, I know. That is the problem. Aiyuk is a real outside X though. The X does not have to be 6'3". Jamar Chase is 6'0". He is an X nightmare. Justin Jefferson is only 6'1". Its a skill set, not necessarily height.

Godwin is faster than Aiyuk. Aiyuk is as fast as the entire skill position group on my high school senior class.

Moreover you have to trade for him, he's not a free agent like Godwin. Godwin can play all over the field, he's not specifically a slot receiver. You thinking these WR's are limited in where they can play is silly. These guys aren't tiny like Amendola.

Aiyuk - Slayton and Rookie would be nice.

You forgot he sucks.

Who cares if Godwin is faster than Aiyuk? Get it through your thick head that they play two totally different positions. It is not silly. It is football. Its is X's and O's, which you really have no clue about. I have coached football for the last 6 years, and it makes a difference. You can't just vomit whatever WR you want at any position you want. That is pure ignorance.

No kidding you have to trade for Aiyuk. That is what this whole thread is about. No, Godwin does not play all over the field. He is primary an inside slot receiver. You don't sign him to play the Z or X. You want him at Tight End too? Why not? He just plays all over the field. LEt's try him and RB and QB too.
