I agree. 3 games is a lot of football. I still believe most have Brady as the MVP right now but these 3 games are crucial. I don't believe Brady has to light it up but he can't have anymore stinkers either and the Bucs have to win out. If that happens which I believe it should given the opponents they have, Brady will win it.

I honestly don't care about who wins the MVP. Would it be cool if Tom wins it at 44? Sure. I would rather see Tom make a deep playoff run, with a possible back to back SB appearance at his age. That would be mind numbing, even if he doesn't win it all (as long as a loss isn't against KC).

I think the only chance now is for him to just stat pad goal line td's with no Fournette there to run them in. It's over man. Rodgers is winning it. That shutout was the worst thing to happen to Bradys MVP case. Rodgers is hot right now and he knows he's withing striking distance to win it so he will. They got the Browns, Vikings, and Lions left so they will also win out

I'm kind of over the whole MVP thing. I still want Brady to win it obviously but he's still the oldest to win it at age 40 of any team sport player. And also the oldest super bowl MVP when he won it last year.

They might as well rename the award "Top QB of the Year". In the last 10 years the only non quarterback to win it was Adrian Peterson and Taylor's numbers likely won't be too far off (albeit with one more game).

Or else Taylor, Kupp, etc should be held to the same standard as QBs and be accountable for wins and losses. Anyway, I’ll pull for Taylor if it’s between him and Rodgers, though that’s purely personal bias and Rodgers would deserve it in that case.

That could be an argument, although I don't think people would argue that a QB who went 9-7 should win MVP because he broke the season passing yards record and his running back sucks. With Peterson, though, I really do think it was just the eye test in addition to the stats. The guy was really running into defenders and carrying them forward on every play. When you look at other running back MVPs like Tomlinson and Alexander, their team won the conference, but Peterson won despite the Vikings going 10-6.

I don't really like idea, though...because a running back simply cannot influence the game like a quarterback. If Jonathan Taylor gets injured, the spread might move a point or two; if Carson Wentz gets injured, even though he's not very good, it might move by 5-7 points. Or take Stafford and Kupp. You'd be certifiably insane to say you're better off not having Stafford than not having Kupp for a playoff game. Kupp is awesome, but ultimately he cannot make even close to the same impact on the game as Stafford. That's just how it is. And if people want to say "well, I think the MVP is the guy who is head and shoulders over the next guy at his position" then where does it stop? How about Justin Tucker for MVP, since we're measuring on relative position dominance and not on overall gameday impact.

The only guys who I think have approached the impact of a QB are Gronk and Kittle. Shoutout to Revis (2009) and Gilmore (2019) as well. They change the game completely. But even as much as I try to pump up these guys, they're still a ways from having the same type of impact on a game.
