So, Brady is doing great for a 42 year old, or even for someone over 40?
For sure, both

He just needs to quit essentially demeaning the rookies. While I don't necessarily disagree here, I'd say that I don't believe it's his ego at all. I just think he sees how obviously short his time has become and he wants to win as many SB's as he can before the ride is over. He knows how difficult it is and how little is the margin for error.
I keep hearing conflicting things about Newhouse. Either he can't do anything right or he is ok for a fill in. My question remains-How bad is Korey Cunningham if he can't get playing time? With both Wynn and Harry coming back, this offense has to get better. I'd like to think that these additions will have a ripple effect across the entire offense.
We know all about Newhouse and his deficiencies but I am really puzzled by and concerned about the overall regression to date, of the right side of the Oline.
As a Jimmy G fan, we all know that wasn't possible.to sum up...we should have kept Dreamy JimmyG
now..back to the season and what we already have. Those of you in so much pain you cannot stomach anymore, feel free to change hats and find a suitable QB that fulfills your precious needs.
The statistics you are throwing about are near meaningless when devoid of context.Facts = trolling ?
Brady=====> Middle of the pack QB according to most metrics
Sorry you can't handle that
More facts
NE has had the most offensive drives in NFL this year....107 (median 91)
Great defense vs awful teams = more offensive drives
NE's average starting field position is #2 in the NFL....34.4 yd line (median 28)
Great defense vs awful teams = handing NE offense amazing field position
-----------------
With the highest number of drives and 2nd best field position in NFL...
NE's offense is 17th in points/drive....2.11 (#1 Balt= 2.95)
NE's offense is 19th in yds/drive....30.37 (#1 Balt=43.1)
NE has punted 3rd most in NFL..
etc
--------
So.... middling QB stats, squandered opportunities, and anemic drives...
45.9 rating vs Buffalo
80, 80, and 89 ratings in 3 of last 4 games
Therefore
Less is more & "Brady has been playing great"
What happened Deus....you used to be the objective one on this board.
Now your giving Benefit of the Doubt points for feats not performed.
---------
PS....his picks have been mind benders, right on the numbers to the bad guys...not tipped/what are you gonna do INTs.
Which he has not done so we good.He just needs to quit essentially demeaning the rookies.
The formula for this Pats teams ultimate success is closer to the 2015 Broncos than it is to most recent Patriots versions. That Broncos defense got it done particularly in the playoffs and the offense did just enough to bring them the title. This Patriots offense, as flawed as it is, is still miles better than that Broncos team so if the defense can keep other teams in check there is no reason this team will not be one of the 4 finalists with a real shot at the title.
I think this offense will end up being the usual top 5 unit by the end of the regular season. Wynn will make a gigantic difference in efficiency by giving Brady more time on average and Harry will end up big on third downs and in the red zone. Add in the running game making a jump last Sunday and there is a lot to look forward to.
While I see where you're going with your line of thinking, I must add that we don't know if this defense is that defense. I don't even know if we can accurately say they are who we thought they were in the first eight games. We can talk match-ups all day long, but many would agree that the Ravens were the first real test the D faced all season and they gave up 37 points. I, personally, was tempering my own enthusiasm a bit until this stretch and, while I'm not willing to say they are overrated based on the Ravens game, I do want to see how they look in the next few games against better teams still. If they can prove that BMore was an aberration, then we're cooking. If not, we may have a big problem because I have my doubts about whether either unit can carry the team against top competition. It will have to be a complete team effort like last season. The formula for this Pats teams ultimate success is closer to the 2015 Broncos than it is to most recent Patriots versions. Why would you think a group of patriots fans wouldn’t dislike you predicting a patriot loss? personally I don’t understand the version I’d fan that dislikes and criticized the team he likes when they are on the middle of dominating the entire league. But that’s just me, you do you.I figured out my problem.
I woke up this morning and neglected to take the PatsFans daily vow: Must blow smoke up all sacred cows’ balloon knots regardless of ungreatness.
I missed my vow last week as well when I picked Baltimore over NE in the weekly “guess the Pats score” which was
greeted with immediate “dislikes”.

He’s doing as well as anyone could expect of any QB.He's not good enough to overcome a bad OL, bad TE's, and no deep threat receivers. But than again he's 42. He's doing as well as anybody could expect of someone that age. There's no doubt he misses Gronk.
Would prefer Brady over anybody else.
And here is a good place to point to the other side of the coin. The offense has been a major beneficiary of the defense. Short fields and a lot of turnovers help with points and yards, and make the offense look better than it really is. The Patriots are #3 in the NFL in most punts made. Only Tennessee and the NYJ have punted more often.
Historically I'd take him over anybody else. This year I'd take Wilson, Mahomes, Jimmy G, Watson, Brissett, and Jackson over him.
