Xrays show only fractures - that is what no structural damage means. Do not tell about soft tissue injuries. Ice it, wrap it if needed to reduce any swelling. Bet he is fine for Sunday.

Good point. At least there hasn't been any reports of him getting it MRI'd. Has there been?
