My expert non-medical guess was that maybe Brady ripped up the thumb nail. Explains the blood, but maybe not the x-ray (except the who and the when of it).

Saw them both in 89 at Foxboro. They were both great. In Living Color opened for The Who. No love for Led Zeppelin here?
