He said the thumb was bent way back. He didn't say the thumb was substantively injured.

It's a cut in a place that ****ing hurts, deep enough to require stitches. Everything the Patriots have done this week are completely consistent with that.

If x-rays were negative, then it still could end up being pretty close. Regardless, Brady not taking snaps under center or being in a lot of pain from whatever the injury are still concerns, yes.

Curran's report lines up almost exactly with Felger's. The knuckle on his thumb connected to the webing with his index finger was seriously cut and had to be stitched up.
