I only see him going to the Chargers if they take the best OT at pick 6 and trade for another good OT

How quickly people forget the 2019 playoff performances.

    34-44 341 yards
    30-46 348 yards AT KC

2 months later, he was offered a 1 year contract below the going rate. I don't care what anyone here is selling about that, but coming off those great performances, he deserved more than what Marcus Mariota is getting.

To me, this is absurd to even debate this.

The fact that Brady made the decision to move on, more so than the Patriots did, helps bring a sense of peace with the move.

While it may seem jarring now, 10-15 years from now, looking back, I don't think this decision will taint any of those 20 seasons. Brady will move on, yet that 20 year run will still be the greatest in the history of sport, and I don't see it being matched, likely ever.

I look forward to rooting like hell for Brady and Belichick on their respective teams. If they were to play head-to-head, I think my approach would be, "I'm going to enjoy the competition as a captivated observer", rather than strongly rooting for one team or another.

If Chicago were smart, they’d throw everything it takes to get Brady. It just makes too much sense. Chicago, as a team and region, is incapable of making anything but occasional accidental good decisions.

If a team is willing to pay him 30 million a season for two or three years, then that's a pretty good deal for him. Tom has always had that simmering side about being disrespected. Maybe he wanted an all out FA pursuit, though that's not exactly the Patriot way. I don't know. Wish him the best, and I look forward to what's next for him and the Patriots. GOAT.

Agree with all but the last part. I was a pats fan pre Brady and I’ll be a pats fan post Brady. If they were to meet in the future my allegiance to the pats won’t waver.

We're finally going to get that Belichick vs Brady SB this season. My money is on the one true GOAT.

My only regret (if I can even have those as a fan for something that was out of my control) is that his Patriots tenure ended on a pick 6. That's a nitpick though.

He had to leave, if he did not then there would always be the question of if he was a system QB and never won anywhere else. Now there will be an answer. My guess is this ends very badly for Brady. When Brady was young, his favorite receiver was the open one. Now it was all they need to earn Brady's trust. When was the last time a receiver from another team came on to the Patriots and connected with Brady at the start, Moss, AB?

Amendola did not recall, Sanu did not, who else? You think Brady is going to step on a field with a bunch of guys he has never played with and do well? He may get a fresh attitude out of something new but 5 games in and it will fall apart. He will be yelling at them and you think the coach on team X will be able to keep this under control?

Probably not, IMO. Mitchell adapted. AB was already adapting.

We'll get at least some resolution to this question with whatever team Brady goes to, though, so time will tell at least part of the tale.

That 1 year deal put him at the 6th highest paid QB in the league.

He should have expected Gordon to self destruct in all fairness. Antonio Brown was an anomaly, had he worked out, it would have been purely dumb luck, unless BB was the mastermind behind his behavior in Pittsburgh and Oakland the past couple of years.
