BOSTON CELTICS vs. Washington Wizards (Eastern semi-finals)

The fact that the Celtics were in control of that game near the end was crazy. They shot 3/16 from 3 point in the 1st half and were shooting a whopping 35% from the field over all. Washington didn't capitalize on that and we out played them basically in the 2nd half.

Also at the end of the game we lost a full second on the game clock when Washington fouled Olynyk. So IT would have had almost 3 seconds to shoot instead of 1.7 seconds. Which does make a huge difference. It still would have been a buzzer beater but a reasonable amount of time to score. We blew it though and I hope it doesn't come back to bite us tonight. Game 7's are fun though. We should enjoy this game 7 because there is virtually no chance we are taking Cleveland more than 6 games.

Lebron is probably the best Basketball player I have seen play well.. right behind Jordan. Almost to Jordan's level. Different styles though.
Agreed...Lebron can pretty much do what he likes on the floor

its just unfair and im only sitting on my couch

honestly? stupid play, they were not aware of the situation, and by they i mean primarily IT...we have the ball, 5 up, with 65 seconds to go and 20 seconds on the play clock...he was trapped and panicked, and turned it over in 5 secs for an easy score by Was, and then i forget what happened but it was also stupid

it was 100% us losing our cool...and it still took a miracle shot by Was for them to win, and IT being off by like an inch on a crazy 3 pt attempt at end of game

regardless, the officials have played this whole series in every Was game, the fact that it was that close means we take care of biz easy tonight I think
If Celts survive tonight, I would like to see more of these guys in the ECF:

...and not just because they're wearing Don Chaney & M.L. Carr's numbers...

Have CSN on(my bad), Felger as usual revealing his stupendous ignorance and stupidity. Dismissing all old Celtics' accomplishments, claiming it was against bum teams ('58 Hawks would beat the Cavs and GSW today); and that opposing centers were 6'3" bums (Thurmond 6'11", Pettit 6'9", Chamberlain 7'1", Reed 6'9")

I'm with you on everything except the bolded text. You'd have to eliminate the 3 pt line and bench Curry/Durant and LeBron/Kyrie to even get a competitive game, let alone a win for the '58 Hawks. For example, Curry's 3-pt percentage is the same as Pettit's overall FG percentage, so GSW would be getting 3 for 2 on a lot of possessions, as Pettit rarely shot further away than 18 feet.

Because of natural evolution, strength and conditioning, diet and more structured basketball programs, you would be hard pressed to find a champion from 40 or 50 years ago come anywhere close to beating a top 15 team from 2017.

True, the game has changed even since Jordan but if I was making an all time great team from any time and place. I think I still would take Jordan first. I know he was more recent than 40-50 years.

Jordan #1
Lebron #2

I have no idea who to put #3.

I've said on this board if you give Bill Russell a year or two in his prime the opportunity to experience modern day nutrition and weight training he'd be a 15/15/5 blocks player and would lead a team to a title because he was the toughest, baddest man ever to set foot on the court.

Same goes for Larry. With nutrition, diet and not sucking down a 6-pack a night he'd still be a 25/10/7 guy.

I firmly believe greatness finds a way.

Why does Thomas frequently leave his feet without a plan? Drives me crazy.

Crowder and Bradley are having sub par games... that usually means bad things. And IT has been kept in check thus far. Its a tie game but this game is coming right down to the wire.

The Celts need to hit more shots to put this game away.. they have missed to many.

How many Turn Overs by Isaiah tonight so far? He can score, but I don't believe the team is going anywhere with him.

Thomas is fun to watch but when all the chips are down, he is getting abused

Replace Crowder with Gordon Heyward
Replace Johnson with Greg Monroe
Replace Thomas with Markelle Fultz

2. For someone with his level of usage, that's miniscule.

IT is really only a liability on defense. The Wizards have abused him by posting him up on guys a foot taller than him.. there is nothing he can do but he makes up for it with his amazing offense.

I think Rozier has a higher cap

We need to make Wall beat us

Do not put Crowder in the game

Olynyk is back on the playground ... just balling old school ... love it.
